Implementation Plan: Improving Workforce Planning
7. Action planning and contacts
Tomorrow’s People, Today will be delivered through an annual implementation plan that will be agreed between the members and stakeholders of Health Education Thames Valley.
The annual implementation plan will set out measureable objectives to be delivered in 2013/14 and will be aligned to the Department of Health’s mandate to Health Education England of which we are a part. Progress against the implementation plan will be reported to the Local Education and Training Board with the aim of turning our strategy into programmes of work that deliver real change.
The work has already begun with some task and finish groups set up that are focussing on areas such as the emergency care workforce, maternity workforce and NHS values.
We will work for our members and stakeholders to ensure effective workforce planning and excellence in education and training. Our aspiration is to develop a highly capable, flexible and motivated workforce across the Thames Valley that will deliver improvements in patient care.
