What is Tarot? (http://ashkasattic.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/imagesCA02G4TW.jpg) Firstly let me say this

Tarot cannot harm you nor can it make you do anything against your own free will.

Trouble can be caused when it is the intent of those reading your cards to do you harm or those reading for you have issues with their own power and ego. You need to find a persom who is of good standing and has a solid foundation and morals. Tarot is not the devils

work or is it evil it is like everything else that can be stretched and manipulated by human ego.

The trick is to remember you have free will.. You were born with it and you will leave this earthly plane with it. It is your free will gives you the power to change your outcome and decisions that you make in this life. Sometimes Tarot can assist you when the road gets a bit

murky or if you are unsure of timing. But Tarot is only one of the many tools you can use on your journey in this life time.

Oracle cards are a beautiful way to ask for answers as well and there are many gorgous decks out there to assist you (More about that later) . Tarot is more for a deeper understanding and more information to questions.

In My case Tarot never ceases to facinate or amaze me. I learned to read at a very early age and had my lessons from a Romanian Gypsy who trained bears for a living before moving to Australia. Needless to say I am happy with my mystical introduction to Tarot.

However It was instinctive for me . The hardest thing I found was to trust my self in what I was saying. Hard wired as a child to let people make their own way and not influence them It was a struggle for me to give people information because my sub conscious mind was

screaming at me ” what right did I have to influence peoiple and what if I was wrong”.

Took me many years to get that right and to trust in my abilities.

Everyone has abilities its called instinct. Like sometimes knowing the phone is going to ring just before it does.

or Thinking about an old friend and they ring. People call it Deja vu. Most of the time we blow it off as being coincidence. Let me tell you there is no such thing.

The problems we all face in this worldly existence are that we live in a world where the concious mind overrides the sub concious. What we see as individuals and what we can hold in our hands tends to be what the concious mind says is real everything else is questioned.

Is it real? How can you be so sure? Prove it to me? I have had that all my life. and you know that now it does not matter to me who believes or questions because I have finally worked out that those who come and see me are there because they are ready.

My journey is mine and mine alone as is yours.

The trick is to believe in your abilities and trust your instincts and gut reactions and feelings. This takes time, practice and courage because you will always have those individuals who treat any thing unexplainable or magical as non existent and not worth the effort.

Always Be true to you……

tarotcards_01 (http://merabhavishya.in/wp-content/uploads/Images /2011/02/tarotcards_01.jpg)

Tarot is a set of seventy-eight cards, each featuring different symbolic pictures. A standard Tarot deck is made up of 22 cards called the major arcana or trumps, and four suits of 14 cards – similar to playing cards – called the minor arcana or pip cards.

What are Tarot cards used for?

Tarot cards can be used for practical problem-solving, creative visualisation, meditation, self-improvement, as a tool of understanding, for divination and fortune-telling, even for card games. Some collect Tarot cards simply for the joy of the artwork, while other delve further

into research and study of the history of Tarot cards.

Where did Tarot originate? (http://ashkasattic.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/imagestar.jpg)

There are many theories on the origins of Tarot in existence – Ancient Egyptians, gypsies, Atlantis – but historical evidence points to a beginning in the courts of Northern Italy, in the mid fifteenth century.

Why are there so many types of Tarot decks?

Different artists interpret the Tarot symbols in differing ways, each adding their own perspective. There are also so many themes that can correspond with the tarot system – there are thousands of decks available, catering to many diverse interests, from baseball to voodoo.

There’s a Tarot deck to match just about every interest or belief.

Is it bad luck to buy your own Tarot cards?

No. It’s an old myth among Tarot novices that your first deck must be given as a gift, or that it’s somehow bad luck to buy your own deck.

There is nothing wrong with obtaining your own set of Tarot cards — and that way you can choose a style and art that is compatible with your tastes.

The 3 Card Spread. (http://ashkasattic.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/tarot_card_spreads_three_card_spread.gif) What the Spread Reveals

This is a very simple yet useful spread, that can have a wide range of meanings assigned to each of the three positions. Two of these are presented here for your consideration. They include the top row of titles, which introduces a problem or decision focused approach,

“Context – Focus – Outcome” and the bottom titles which introduce a timeline approach, of “Past – Present – Future.”

To begin this spread, shuffle the cards carefully, spread them out in a long line in front of you, then allow your Higher Self to draw three cards from the deck. Each step should be done carefully and with calm focus.

Problem Solving or Decision Making Approach

This spread will help you to learn to apply the tarot to figure out how to approach a problem or decision. This is easiest when you let your ego and conscious mind relax, and allow your Higher Self to speak to you through the cards you draw.

Left Card: The Context - This card reflects a general overview of the Querant’s (you or the person you are reading is the Querant) present situation.

Center Card: The Focus – This card reflects a new set of circumstances that are about to act upon the Querant, the forces that drive these may be positive or negative depending on the card and whether it is upright or inverse. This card is the general problem or the

decision to be made.

Right Card: The Outcome – This card reflects the effect of the second focus card. It shows the outcome that comes with the new circumstances; the results of the problem solving and/or decision-making.

Timeline Approach

This spread will help you to learn to apply the tarot to help you to explore the forces that are influencing the Querant, by looking at the past, present and future energy around them..

Left Card: The Past – This card shows the Querant’s past experiences, the ones that cast a light on the current situation.

Center Card: The Present - This card reveals what the Querant is feeling and experiencing at the moment.

Right Card: The Future – This card predicts the result of the course of action that the Querant will take, based on the first two cards
