The section below identifies the areas of the wizard that are unique to a CLARiiON storage array model. The agent will be configured to use the CLI to collect from the array management host monitoring the arrays.
Note Refer to Common Wizard Flow Procedures for Storage Device Setup for a detailed explanation of the common wizard screens.
To configure a CLARiiON array management host agent using CLI:
1 On the navigation panel, under Homes, click Storage Environment. 2 Click the Administration tab.
3 Click Configure Agent for Storage Device Monitoring. or
Click Add.
The Select Foglight Agent Manager displays page displays.
4 Select the Agent Manager where the agent code will execute to collect from the CLARiiON array management host.

10 Enter the installation path for NaviSecCLI, if it is not installed at the default location.
11 Click Next.
The Assign Credential and Validate page displays.
12 This page allows you to assign the array management host to a credential. The following options are provided:
Note To view required user account privileges, see “Configuration Requirements” on page 95. • Adding a new credential, see “Creating New Credentials” on page 51.
• Selecting and assigning a credential already created, see “Selecting an Existing Credential” on page 53.
Select the required option to obtain the credential. The newly assigned credential displays.
13 Click Next.
The Validation Result message box displays.
Note This process can take up to 15 minutes to complete.
Note An initial connection to the storage resource must be successful for data collection and monitoring to begin.
Note If you get an error while attempting to connect see “Connection Attempt Error Procedures” on page 49.

14 After validation, the Discover Arrays and Validate page displays. This page lets you provide the IP of any SP of an array in each domain, and discover the other arrays in the domain.
15 Click Discover Arrays in Domain.
The first screen of the Discover Arrays in Domain dialog displays.
16 Enter the required IP of one Service Processor in the domain. Enter a port only if the Service Processor is configured for a port other than the default port.

18 You need to assign a credential for the selected IP of the Navisphere account. This page allows you to assign the storage resource to a credential. The following options are provided: Note To view required user account privileges, see “Navisphere Account Privileges” on
page 103.
• Adding a new credential, see “Creating New Credentials” on page 51.
• Selecting and assigning a credential already created, see “Selecting an Existing Credential” on page 53.
19 After creating or selecting the credential, it displays in the Discover Arrays in Domain page.
20 Click Next.
The Validation Result message box displays.
Note This process can take up to 15 minutes to complete.
Upon successful validation, the final screen in the Discover Arrays in Domain dialog displays.
Foglight™ for Storage Management uses Navisphere and the provided credential to connect to the specified SP. If successful, it also retrieves the names and IPs of the other arrays in the same domain.

21 Click Finish.
22 The Discovery Arrays and Validate page displays. This page displays what arrays were discovered and shows the error message for any arrays that failed the validation process.
The Arrays managed by the specified management host, that are in the same domain as the SP used for discovery, are displayed in the Discovered Arrays table.
If you have other CLARiiON arrays in other domains managed by this management host, repeat the “Discover” process for each domain, using the IP of a Service Processor in the domain.
Note You may see the name of a non-array device, such as another management host that can access the domain. They display with a red, failed status indicating they could not be validated. Ignore these names.
Foglight™ for Storage Management uses the credential provided for discovery to validate access to all the discovered arrays. The status will display as green if the validation was successful.
If your environment uses different Navisphere credentials for different arrays in the same domain, the validation may fail, and the status will display red.
