Note
It is essential that the installation instructions are read thoroughly. Make sure that all system requirements are met before installing SICAM PAS. The requirements regarding the installation and configuration of the TCP/IP network interfacing are of special importance. Following the installation and configuration of the TCP/IP network interfacing, reboot your computer.
3.2
Installation
The SICAM PAS installation includes the following steps:
Installation of a Sybase SQL Anywhere database and of the system start parameters
Configuration of the ODBC data source names for the SICAM PAS
Installation of the SICAM PAS software
Installation of the dongle driver
Installation of the SICAM PAS documentation (in .PDF format).
Installation of the Microsoft .NET Framework component
Note
The Adobe Acrobat Reader or an equivalent software is required for displaying and printing the documentation. The Acrobat Reader is available on the SICAM PAS CD, but must be installed separately.
How to proceed
Proceed as follows:
• Log in as an administrator user. If required, contact your local Windows administrator. • Insert the SICAM PAS CD-ROM into your drive. This starts the installation process.
