REMOTE VIEWING

In document Mind Power Secrets.pdf (Page 33-36)

Remote Viewing is the technical name given to an intelligence gathering process which uses mental means other than the usual five senses. Any rational person can learn the process and the success rate can be extraordinarily high! Even average untrained people

“off the street” have achieved success rates as high as 80% ... after just a few quick lessons!

Basically, the remote viewer is asked to “mentally feel” a distant situation and describe in detail what he or she senses. This “situation” can occur in the next room ... or across the continent. Distant is of no consequence.

One of the earlier experiments involved a distance of 6000 miles and the result was exceptionally accurate. Also time does not seem to matter. Some of the viewers were able to “see” a situation some days ahead of the actual event. These viewings also turned out to be reasonably accurate.

One of the first U.S Companies to study remote viewing was the well known Stanford Research Institute in Menlo Park, California (now called SRI International).

They sent an “observer” (or "beacon") out into the city who was instructed to stand in front of some easily identifiable landmark and gaze at it. The remote viewer back at the lab was asked to relax and draw his impressions of what the observer might be seeing.

The accuracy after some practice was remarkably high. Commercial operators use consensual decision processing to validate the remote viewing results. In this process several viewers are independently given the same target and the results averaged. Another group used a variation of remote viewing called “associated remote viewing”. In this process, the viewer looks forward at an associated event in time rather than the actual event itself. He or she looks for a signal which would indicate a positive or negative outcome. The vehicle they used for their initial experiments (in 1982) was the Silver Commodities market that fluctuates daily. By using consensus associated remote viewing they were able to make nine forecasts on December silver futures.. Of these predictions, seven were traded on the price of silver, 3 days in the future. In each case, the magnitude and direction of the price movements were correct. The odds against this happening by chance were calculated as being higher than 50,000 to 1.

Uri Geller, the famous Israeli psychic, demonstrated remote viewing live on TV here in Australia live on TV. A highly skeptical lady interviewer drew a pattern on a piece of paper out of Geller's direct view. Almost simultaneously he correctly drew the identical object on his piece of paper. He thought it was an eyebrow but it turned out to be a cockroach. The only difference was that Geller's object was slightly smaller. The detail was the same. And that is one TV interviewer who now believes in remote viewing!

(Geller was not using mirrors or any other “gimmicks”). Around 1 million skeptical Australians watched this program in various states of awe!

This ability is not available only to a chosen few - some commercial mind-courses now teach it. And it is a gift that everyone has been born with. You can learn to do it yourself if it is within your field of interest.

As with any new talent it takes time to learn. However a fair percentage of first-timers experience the “novice effect” and are often stunned by the experience. My first try at remote viewing was so stunningly accurate it left me sitting on the steps of a casino, white and very shaken.

The whole basis of mind-power is to initially achieve for yourself a controlled alpha state.

After that the whole field of mind power is open to you.

Remote viewing is one of the most extraordinary applications of personal mind-power but another one which can be equally impressive is known as “Subjective Communication”.

This is something that almost anyone can learn to do very quickly and can enhance your lifestyle considerably!

Subjective communication can be defined simply as mind-to-mind contact, without the use of the other usual 5 senses. We all have the inherent ability to communicate in this manner but only a very small percentage of the population are aware of it and it usually manifests itself accidentally rather than intentionally.

Let me give you an example of how it happens:

Many years ago when I was practicing hypnosis, I used to give small “stage shows” for maybe 50-100 people, who belonged to various local clubs in the area.

I’d hypnotize 3-4 people and have them sitting in chairs on the stage waiting for further instructions. At some point in the show I would require them all to stand up so I’d simply tell them to “stand up”. However on the odd rare occasion one of the subjects would stand up before I spoke, but just after I had framed the intent in my mind to issue that instruction. This happened several times and always left me puzzled. I knew it was some sort of thought transference but didn’t bother to investigate it.

In fact, Jose Silva, in his early experiments with hypnotic learning with his own children, found a similar thing happened. He would prepare to ask them a question about their homework while they were in a light hypnotic (alpha) state and the child would frequently answer the question before it was verbally asked, but immediately after the intent had been formed to ask that question.

It seems that when we relax and go into alpha our right brain comes into play and if trained, is fully capable of communicating with other minds.

And after a small amount of training this facility can become incredibly useful.

People who have taken mind training and learned subjective communication, often think back and wonder how they ever got ahead in life without it. It is rather like learning to re-use a muscle. Suppose you’ve led a sedentary non-active life for the past 10 years and suddenly you are forced into an active, high muscle-activity lifestyle. For the first few weeks those muscles tend to respond very slowly. It is exactly the same when you start to use your right-side alpha brain. You haven’t used it since your logical left beta brain started to develop at 5 or 6 years old. So it takes considerable practice to get it functioning again. But when you get it fully operational a whole new world opens up! Most people are staggered at the improvement it makes to their life and the effect it can have on people close to them.

You’ve probably noticed yourself, that if you desperately and emotionally want some event to happen in your life, and you live and breathe this event day and night, it quite often happens ... against all odds!

Think back over your life. It is highly likely that you will be able to identify such a situation.

What basically happens is that you spend a LOT of time “daydreaming” about this event, both during the day and during the night when you wake up.

And daydreaming occurs at the alpha level!

So while in the alpha state you are feeding thoughts and emotional energy out (into Sheldrake's Morphogenetic Field?) and sometimes much to your surprise you have an amazing “stroke of luck” ... the desired event happens.

Sound familiar?

Enter Subjective Communication ...

This is where you intentionally (or unintentionally) implant a subtle, gentle impression in somebody else's mind, during their alpha periods.

The suggestion is that they follow a certain course of action which will be mutually beneficial and provide a win-win situation for both parties.

Jose Silva originally considered that this talent would be immensely helpful among emotionally close family members, such as a mother and child, to solve problems such as bed-wetting by subjective suggestions. But it was found to work between people who were even total strangers.

The actual process is amazingly simple and the technique is described later in this book.
