MedsPro™ VPC (Virtual Pill Count) MedsPro VPC (Virtual Pill Count) provides you with the opportunity to profi tably expand your Webstercare customer base. It is one of the most helpful systems we have developed so far.
What is MedsPro™ VPC?
MedsPro offers an innovative process for dispensing medications into Webstercare systems.
This sophisticated software package will:
• Ensure accuracy whilst packing through barcode verifi cation
• Reduce the amount of space required for work stations
• Eliminate the need for storing multiple bags of medication
It improves productivity, accuracy and signifi cantly reduces the time pressures and routine interruptions that may come with packing. It also signifi cantly reduces the amount of space required to store patients’ medications. The packing area can be setup as a “mini dispensary”, with the most common medications directly in front of the packing technician. This minimises the time to locate medications and therefore minimises disruptions to the work fl ow for the technicians.
MedsPro VPC is suited to all pharmacies servicing community and/or residential aged care facilities, wanting to grow their business and improve productivity within existing space limitations.

eWebstercare®
eWebstercare is comprised of 2 main components; MedsComm and MedSig.
MedsComm®
MedsComm is the simple, easy way for your Aged Care Facilities to send routine orders to a pharmacy. MedsComm is a direct link between facility, pharmacy and doctor. All the facility needs is a computer and an internet connection. Facility staff and Doctors can view resident profi les over a secure internet server and place orders for items such as Non-Packed and PRN medications. Once the order has been placed, there is an audit trail.
The home will send a message which is received at the pharmacy via a pop up notifi cation. The pharmacy can accept the request or reply (requesting more information for example) and then can process the request. The pharmacy can action the requests one by one or deal with them all at one time during the day. This helps to streamline the requests. At the aged care facility, nursing staff can track exactly what has been ordered, view resident information and scan through changes on medication charts rather than faxing.
MedSig®
MedSig transforms medication administration in aged care facilities taking it to a level of simplicity and ease not seen before.
MedSig allows nursing staff to record when medications have been administered to residents, electronically, rather than signing on a paper medication chart. Electronic records improve the reporting process and signifi cantly reduce the risk of errors. MedSig reduces the amount of paper being used, saves time and streamlines processes to ensure a more productive workfl ow and reporting process. MedSig also contains a comprehensive reporting component allowing nursing staff to access a range of information about the administration process, medications and the residents. Normally, this process would take a signifi cant amount of time when collated manually.
SMS Compliance Reminders
The Webstercare Software has the ability to generate SMS reminders that can be automatically sent to patients reminding them to take their medication at specifi ed dosage times. For further compliance monitoring, the pharmacy can request a response from the patient to ensure that they have taken their medications at the correct time. If a response is not received, a second reminder SMS can be sent, and fi nally a carer notifi ed if required.
Online Back-Up Service
A ‘fail-safe’ means of protecting your records. Using the latest technology and secure encryption methods, your Webstercare data can be backed-up from your computer, to a secured remote back-up server via the internet. This means you can restore your data in full should the need arise. The encryption ensures your data remains private at all times. Back-ups are scheduled automatically so you never need to think about it. If a back-up fails, the pharmacy will be notifi ed.
Software Support and Maintenance
All of Webstercare’s software solutions are supported by our Software Support Team and regular program updates which include improvements, new features and drug database updates to ensure you always have correct and up to date information. The Community Medication Management Software includes updates every 6 months, whereas the Professional and Professional Plus updates are every 3 months. The Software Support Team is available between 9am and 5.30pm AEST to assist you with your enquiries.
