VUI UCIIIC/I iVUliy liehe Entwicklung in der Europäischen Gemeinschaft. Es enthalt einen Sac/igebietsteif und einen Länderteil.

Der Sachgebietsteil enthält für jedes Sachgebiet die verfügbaren Angaben für die einzelnen Länder der Gemeinschaft sowie — bei besonders wichtigen Sachgebieten — auch für das Vereinigte Königreich und die Vereinigten Staaten. In der Pegel sind die Angaben in gemeinsamen Einheiten ausgedrückt und die Indizes auf der Basis 1963 = 100 berechnet. Hinsichtlich der Rechnungseinheit der Europäischen Gemeinschaften " E u r", „Siehe Vermerk Seite 17". Diese Darstellungsform dient der Erleichterung von Vergleichen; es darf jedoch nicht übersehen werden, daß die Vergleichbarkeit in vielen Fällen durch unterschiedliche Abgrenzungen der Angaben beeinträchtigt w i r d . Die Angaben dieses Teils stammen aus amtlichen nationalen Quellen, doch sind in manchen Fällen K o r r e k t u r e n zwecks besserer Vergleichbarkeit vorgenommen worden. In einem methodologischen Jahresband, der spáter erscheinen soll, werden detaillierte Auskünfte über Inhalt und Berech­ nungsweise der einzelnen Angaben sowie über die jeweils benutzten Quellen zu finden sein.

Der Länderteil enthält für jedes Land Angaben für eine Reihe von Sachgebieten, welche die verschiedenen Aspekte seiner Wirtschaftsentwicklung umfassen. Diese wurden nach ihrer Verfügbarkeit sowie ihrer Bedeutung für das betreffende Land ausgewählt, ohne Rücksicht auf Vergleichbarkeit mit Angaben anderer Länder. Im allgemeinen sind hier die von den nationalen Statistischen Ä m t e r n veröffentlichten Angaben (abgesehen von den Indizes, die auf Basis 1963 = 100 umgerechnet wurden) unverändert übernommen worden. Hieraus folgt, daß die Zahlen im Länderteil von den entsprechenden Zahlen im Sachgebietsteil abweichen, soweit letztere zwecks besserer Vergleichbarkeit k o r r i g i e r t worden sind.

Zu den Tabellen für die Länder der Gemeinschaft kommen Tabellen für das Vereinigte Königreich, die Vereinigten Staaten und die assoziierten Länder der EG, wobei die Tabellen für letztere in wechselnder Folge erscheinen. Außerdem werden die für die Gemeinschaft als Ganzes ver­ fügbaren Angaben in der ersten Tabelle des Länderteils gegeben.

In beiden Teilen des Bulletins werden für die wichtigsten Sachgebiete gegebenenfalls auch saisonbereinigte Reihen geliefert. Eine Beschreibung uer dereinigungsmethode des SAEG ¡st in Statistische Studien und Erhebungen Nr. 1­1968 veröffentlicht worden. Für die Vereinigten Staaten stam­ men die saisonbereinigten Angaben jedoch vom „Bureau of the Census".

Die neuesten Zahlen sind zum Teil vorläufig und werden gegebenenfalls später berichtigt.

H V C I I l o o C i i J C I l l à court terme de la Communauté Européenne. Il comprend une partie par matières et une partie par pays.

Dans la partie par matières, on trouvera sous chaque t i t r e de série les données disponibles pour les divers pays de la Communauté et, dans quelaues cas importants pour le Royaume­Uni et les États­Unis. Sauf exception, les données ont été ramenées à des unités communes et les indices exprimés sur la base 1963 = 100. En ce qui concerne l'unité de compte des Communautés Européennes

" E u r " , voir note page 17. Cette présentation est destinée à faciliter les comparaisons, mais ne doit pas faire oublier que la validité de telles com­ paraisons reste tributaire de divergences assez fréquentes dans le contenu des données.

Les données de cette partie proviennent des sources nationales officielles, mais ont parfois subi des ajustements destinés à améliorer leur com­ parabilité. Un volume méthodologique annuel, à paraître ultérieurement, fournira des renseignements détaillés sur le contenu et le mode d'éla­ boration des données et précisera, cas par cas, les sources utilisées.

Dans la partie par pays, on trouvera pour un pays déterminé une gamme de séries couvrant les divers aspects de la conjoncture nationale. Ces séries ont été choisies en fonction de leur disponibilité et de leur intérêt propre pour le pays considéré, sans souci de comparabilité avec les données d'autres pays. En règle générale, il s'agit d'une transcription directe des données publiées par les services de statistique nationaux (les indices étant toutefois ramenés à la base 1963 = 100), sans ajustements spéciaux. // en résulte que les données de la partie par pays peuvent différer des données homologues de la portie par matières, lesquelles sont éventuellement ajustées pour améliorer leur comparabilité.

Les tableaux relatifs aux pays de la Communauté sont complétés par des tableaux relatifs au Royaume­Uni, aux États­Unis et aux pays associés à la CE (ces derniers étant présentés par roulement). Enfin, les données disponibles pour la Communauté considérée comme un ensemble ont été rassemblées dans le premier tableau de la partie par pays.

Dans les deux parties du Bulletin, des données désaisonnalisées sont fournies s'il y a lieu pour les séries les plus importantes. La méthode d'ajuste­ ment utilisée par l'OSCE a été décrite dans Etudes et enquêtes statistiques, n" 1­1968. Toutefois, pour les États­Unis, les données désaisonnalisées sont celles du « Bureau of the Census ».

Les chiffres récents sont parfois provisoires et éventuellement susceptibles de révisions ultérieures.

Nella parte per materie, sotto ogni t i t o l o di serie sono r i p r o d o t t i i dati disponibili per i vari paesi della Comunità e, in qualche caso importante, per il Regno Unito e gli Stati U n i t i . Tranne alcune tavole, i dati sono stati r i d o t t i a unità comuni e gli indici espressi sulla base 1963 = 100. Per quanto riguarda l'unità di conto della Comunità Europea " E u r " cfr. nota a pagina 17. Questa soluzione è intese ad agevolare i raffronti, ma non va dimenticato che, a volte, tali raffronti si operano fra dati di contenuto non identico.

I dati r i p r o d o t t i in questa parte del volume provengono da fonti ufficiali nazionali, ma in taluni casi sono stati rettificati per migliorarne la compa­ rabilità. In un volume metodologico annuale, che sarà pubblicato successivamente, saranno forniti ragguagli particolareggiati sul contenuto e sul metodo di elaborazione dei dati e si preciseranno caso per caso le fonti utilizzate.

Nella parte per paesi, si troverà, per un paese determinato, una gamma di serie statistiche concernenti i vari aspetti della congiuntura nazionale. Tali serio sono state scelte secondo la disponibilità e l'interesse particolare per il paese considerato, a prescindere dalla comparabilità con dati di altri paesi. In linea generale, si tratta di una trascrizione diretta dei dati pubblicati dagli uffici statistici nazionali (gli indici tuttavia sono stati ricondotti alla base 1963 = 100). senza particolari adeguamenti. I doti della parte secondo possono quindi differire dai dati analoghi della perte prima, ι quali possono aver subito rettifiche per renderli maggiormente comparabili.

Le tabelle relative ai paesi della Comunità sono completate da quelle per il Regno Unito, gli Stati Uniti ed i paesi associati alla CE (questi ultimi presentati a turno). Infine, i dati disponibili per la Comunità nel suo insieme sono stati riuniti nella prima tabella della parte per paesi.

Nelle due parti del Bollettino sono forniti — se necessario ■— dati destagionalizzati per le serie più importanti. Il metodo di aggiustamento uti­ lizzato dall'ISŒ è descritto nel volume Studi ed inchieste stotistiche, n. 1­1968. Per gli Stati U n i t i , tuttavia, i dati depurati dalle variazioni stagionali sono quelli del « Bureau of the Census ».

W U U l U V U U l C l I op korte termijn in de Europese Gemeenschap bijeengebracht. Deze publikatie omvat twee delen : een eerste

gedeelte volgens onderwerp en een tweede volgens land.

In het gedeelte volgens onderwerp zijn voor iedere reeks de beschikbare gegevens voor de verschillende Lid-Staten van de Gemeenschap en in enkele belangrijke gevallen ook die voor het Verenigd Koninkrijk en de Verenigde Staten opgenomen. Op een enkele uitzondering na zijn de gegevens herleid tot gemeenschappelijke eenheden en de indexcijfers uitgedrukt op basis 1963 = 100. W a t betreft de rekeneenheid van de Europese Gemeenschappen " E u r " , zie nota op bladzijde 17. Deze presentatie is bedoeld om vergelijkingen te vergemakkelijken; hierbij dient echter niet uit het oog te worden verloren dat de waarde van dergelijke vergelijkingen afhankelijk blijft van vrij dikwijls voorkomende verschil­ len in de inhoud van de gegevens.

De gegevens van dit gedeelte zijn ontleend aan de officiële nationale bronnen, maar zijn soms aangepast ten einde hun vergelijkbaarheid t e ver-beteren. In een later t e verschijnen jaarlijks methodologisch nummer zullen de inhoud en de methoden voor het opstellen van de gegevens in bijzonderheden worden besproken, en voor ieder geval de geraadpleegde bronnen worden vermeld.

In het gedeelte volgens land w o r d t voor ieder land een aantal reeksen met betrekking t o t de diverse aspecten van de nationale conjunctuur ge-geven. Deze reeksen zijn gekozen in verband met hun beschikbaarheid en hun belang voor het betrokken land, zonder rekening te houden met hun vergelijkbaarheid met de gegevens van andere landen. Over het algemeen zijn de door de nationale bureaus voor de statistiek gepubliceerde gegevens, zonder speciale aanpassingen, rechtstreeks overgenomen (de indexcijfers zijn echter herleid t o t de basis 1963 = 100). Het gevolg hier-van is dat de gegevens hier-van het gedeelte volgens land afwijkingen kunnen vertonen ten opzichte hier-van de gelijknamige gegevens uit het gedeelte volgens

onder-werp, welke soms zijn aangepast om hun vergelijkbaarheid te verbeteren.

Naast de tabellen voor de landen van de Gemeenschap zijn er tabellen opgenomen voor het Verenigd Koninkrijk, de Verenigde Staten en de met de EG geassocieerde landen (deze laatste volgens een rouleersysteem). Tenslotte zijn de beschikbare gegevens voor de Gemeenschap in haar geheel beschouwd opgenomen in de eerste tabel van het gedeelte volgens land.

In de beide delen van het Bulletin zijn zo nodig de seizoeninvloeden uitgeschakeld voor de gegevens van de belangrijkste reeksen. De hiertoe door het BSEG gebruikte methode is beschreven in Statistische studies en enquêtes, no. 1-1968. Voor de Verenigde Staten echter zijn de des-betreffende cijfers die van het „Bureau of the Census".

De meest recente cijfers kunnen van voorlopige aard zijn en eventueel naderhand werden herzien.

The section by subject gives under each heading the data available f o r the different Community countries and, in a few important cases, for the United Kingdom and the United States. Except where indicated, the figures are expressed in common units and the base year for the Indices is 1963. Concerning the unit of account of the European Communities " E u r " , see note page 17. This is designed to facilitate comparison, but i t should be borne In mind that the validity of comparisons of this kind may be impaired by divergences in the content of the data, which occur fairly frequently.

The figures in this section come from official sources in the countries concerned, but adjustments have sometimes been made t o improve com-parability. A further volume to be published annually will give detailed information on the content of the data and the way they are prepared, indicating the sources for each individual case.

The section by country gives a number of series covering the various aspects of each country's economy. These series have been chosen from those most readily available and with an eye t o their importance t o the country concerned, irrespective of comparability with data from other countries. As a rule, the information is taken over directly from data published by national statistical offices with no special adjustment (except that 1963 is taken as base year for the indices). Consequently, the data in the country section may differ from the equivalent data in the subject section,

where adjustments may have been made t o improve comparability.

As well as the tables for the Community countries, there are also tables relating to the United Kingdom, t o the United States and t o countries associated with the EC (the latter in rotation). The data for the Community as a whole have been grouped in a single table — the first in the country section.

In both sections of the Bulletin, seasonally adjusted data are given where appropriate for the major series. The method of adjustment used by the SOEC is described in Études et enquêtes statistiques, No. 1-1968. The seasonally adjusted figures for the United States, however, are those provided by the US Bureau of the Census.

Some of the more recent figures are provisional, and revised figures may be published later on.

Die W e r t e , die bis zum Bulletin N r . 1/72 in Dollar der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika, ausgedrückt waren, sind nunmehr In Rechnungseinheiten der Europäischen Gemeinschaften angegeben (1 Rechnungseinheit der Europäischen Gemeinschaften =0,88867088 Gramm Feingold). Die Rechnungseinheiten tragen zwecks sprachlicher Vereinfachung die Bezeichnung „ E u r " . Diese Änderung ergibt sich aus der am 18. Dezember 1971 in Washington vereinbarten Neuordnung der Wechselkurse der wichtigsten Währungen.

Für statistische Zwecke basiert die Umrechnung wie in der Vergangenheit auf den m i t dem IWF vereinbarten amtlichen Paritäten und nach der Übereinkunft von Washington auf diesen Paritäten oder den „ L e i t k u r s e n " . Bei Paritätsänderungen während eines Zeitraums werden die betreffenden Angaben mittels eines pro rata temporis gewogenen Kurses umgerechnet. Die Eur­Parität einer W ä h r u n g entspricht dem Verhältnis der Goldgehalte. Für diejenigen Währungen, für die am 18. Dezem­ ber 1971 die offizielle Parität aufgehoben und ein Leitkurs gegenüber dem Dollar angenommen w u r d e , ist der Goldgehalt auf der Grundlage der von den Ländern erklärten Auf­ oder Abwertungssätze e r m i t t e l t worden. Nachdem im Mai 1972 die neue Goldparität des Dollar mit dem IWF vereinbart wurde, kann der Goldgehalt der Währungen nunmehr unmittelbar von den Leitkursen abgeleitet werden, was in einigen Fällen Änderungen der 5. und 6. Dezimalstelle zur Folge hat. Aus diesem Anlass sind jetzt bei allen Berechnungen abgerundete W e r t e mit sechs Dezimalstellen verwendet worden ('). Die berichtigten Paritäten werden für die Monate ab Dezember 1971 ausgewiesen. Wegen der Geringfügigkeit der Berichti­ gungen sind die aufgrund der bisher ausgewiesenen Paritäten in Eur umgerechneten statistischen Reihen nicht geändert worden.

(') Nach dieser auch vom I W F angewendeten Methode wird 1 Eur mie 0,888671 Gramm Feingold bewertet, was auch dem Goldgehalt einer Werteinheit der Sonderziehungsrechte (SZR) entspricht.

Les valeurs qui, jusq'au n" 1/72 de ce bulletin, étalent libellées en dollars des Etats­Unis d'Amérique, sont maintenant ex­ primées en unités de compte des Communautés Européennes (1 unité de compte des Communautés Européennes = 0,88867088 gr. d'or fin). Ces unités de compte sont, pour la commodité du langage, désignées par le terme « Eur ». Ce changement est la conséquence du réajustement des rapports des principales monnaies, intervenu le 18 décembre 1971 à Washington.

Aux fins d'évaluations statistiques, le procédé de conversion en unités de compte reste fondé, comme par le passé, sur les parités officielles déclarées au FMI et, après l'accord de Washington, sur les parités ou les « cours centraux ». Lors des changements de parité au cours d'une période, la donnée relative à cette dernière a été calculée sur la base du critère du prorata temporis.

La parité en Eur d'une devise correspond au rapport des contenus or. Pour les devises qui, le 18 décembre 1971, ont aban­ donné leur parité officielle et adopté un cours central par rapport au dollar, le nouveau contenu or a été évalué sur la base des pourcentages de réévaluation ou de dévaluation annoncés par les pays. La nouvelle parité o r du dollar ayant été déposée auprès du FMI en mai 1972, le contenu or des monnaies a pu être déduit directement des cours centraux, ce qui a entraîné parfois des modifications au niveau des 5· et 6" chiffres significatifs. A cette occasion, les calculs ont été effectués en retenant, à tous les stades d'opération, 6 chiffres significatifs arrondis (').

Les parités rectifiées sont données rétrospectivement depuis décembre 1971. Compte tenu de l'incidence minime des rectifications, les séries statistiques converties en Eur sur la base des taux de parité fournis antérieurement, n'ont pas été modifiées.

S Î 3 Î I S T I C I Ai fini della valutazione statistica, il procedimento di conversione delle monete nazionali in unità di conto resta fondato, come per il passato, sulle parità ufficiali dichiarate al FMI e, dopo l'accordo di Washington, sulle parità osui « corsi centrali ». Quando un cambiamento di parità ha avuto luogo nel corso di un periodo, il dato relativo a tale periodo è stato calcolato sulla base del criterio « pro rata temporis ».

La parità in « Eur » di una valuta corrisponde al rapporto dei contenuti aurei. Per le monete che il 18 dicembre 1971, la­ sciata la parità ufficiale, hanno adottato un corso centrale rispetto al dollaro, il nuovo contenuto aureo è stato valutato sulla base delle percentuali di rivalutazione o di svalutazione annunciate dai rispettivi paesi. Nel maggio 1972, è stata depositata al FMI la nuova parità aurea del dollaro, e il contenuto aureo delle monete ha cosi, potuto esser dedotto direttamente dai corsi centrali, con conseguenti modifiche, talvolta, al livello della 5a e 6a cifra significativa. In tale occasione, i calcoli sono stati effettuati utilizzando a t u t t i gli stadi d'operazione 6 cifre significative arrotondate (').

Le parità rettificate sono fornite retrospettivamente a partire dal dicembre 1971. Tenuto conto della limitatissima incidenza delle rettifiche, le serie statistiche convertite in « Eur » sulla base dei tassi di parità precedentemente f o r n i t i non sono state modificate.

De waarden, die tot en met nr 1/72 van dit bulletin in dollars van de Verenigde Staten van Amerika werden uitgedrukt, worden nu berekend in rekeneenheden van de Europese Gemeenschappen (1 rekeneenheid van de Europese Gemeenschap-pen = 0,88867088 gr. fijn goud) en niet meer in dollars. Deze rekeneenheden worden aangeduid met het symbool „ E u r " , dit om taalmoeilijkheden te vermijden.

Deze verandering is het gevolg van de op 18 december 1971 te Washington doorgevoerde aanpassingen van de verhoudingen tussen de voornaamste munten.

Omwille van de statistische evaluatie blijft de manier van omzetten in rekeneenheden net als vroeger gebaseerd op de officieel opgegeven pariteiten bij het IMF en voor de periode na het verdrag van Washington op de pariteiten of de „centrale koersen". In geval van wijzigingen van de pariteit tijdens een periode, w o r d t het relatieve cijfer voor deze periode pro rata temporis berekend.

De „ E u r " pariteit van buitenlandse geldswaarden stemt overeen met de verhouding van de goudgehalten. Voor de deviezen, waarvoor sedert 18 december 1971 de officiële pariteit werd losgelaten en een centrale koers ten opzichte van de dollar werd vastgesteld, werd het nieuwe goudgehalte geraamd op basis van de door de landen aangekondigde revaluatie- of devaluatiepercentages. Daar de nieuwe goudpariteit van de dollar in mei 1972 aan het IMF werd opgegeven, kon het goud-gehalte van de valuta's rechtstreeks worden afgeleid van de centrale koersen, hetgeen soms wijzigingen op het niveau van de 5e en 6e significante cijfers veroorzaakte. In dit geval werd voor de berekeningen in alle bewerkingsstadia een afgerond bedrag van zes significante cijfers aangehouden (').

De gerectificeerde pariteiten worden terugwerkend vanaf december 1971 gegeven. Gezien de zeer geringe invloed van deze rectificaties zijn de statistische reeksen, die in „ E u r " zijn omgerekend op basis van vroeger verschafte pariteiten niet gewijzigd.

The figures which were given in dollars of the United States of America up to bulletin no 1/72, are now shown in units of account of the European Communities (1 unit of account of the European Communities = 0,88867088 g of fine gold). For convenience these units of account are identified by the symbol „ E u r " .

This change is a consequence of the realignment of the exchange rate relationships between the principal currencies agreed in Washington on 18 December 1971.

For statistical purposes, the conversion into units of account is based, as in the past, on the official par values agreed w i t h the IMF and, after the Washington agreement, on the par values or the „central rates". Where a par value was changed in the course of a given period, the figures for that period have been converted on a pro rata temporis basis.

The par value in Eur of a currency corresponds to the ratio of their gold contents. For those currencies which, on 18 Decem-ber 1971, abandoned their official par value and adopted a central rate in relation to the dollar, the new gold content has been calculated on the basis of percentages of revaluation or of devaluation announced by the countries concerned. The new gold parity for the dollar having been agreed with the IMF in May 1972, the gold content of the currencies can now be calculated directly from the central rates, which may result ¡n changes at the level of the 5th and 6th significant digits. A t this occasion all calculations were made by using values with six significant digits (').

The adjusted par values are given retrospectively from December 1971 onwards. In view of the minimal incidence of the adjustments, the statistical series converted into Eur on the basis of par values previously provided have not been amended.
