OBSERVATIONS GÉNÉRALES
Ce bulletin mensuel est désormais étendu à l'ensemble des pays
associés à la C.E.E. — qu'ils soient situés outremer ou en Europe —
auxquels s'ajoutent, comme naguère, les TOM et DOM. En raison
des irrégularités dans la réception des données provenant des
divers territoires douaniers, on conservera la présentation en fasci
cules détachables.
En outre, la série provisoire des indices à l'exportation peut main
tenant être complétée par une série tout aussi provisoire des indices
à l'importation établie à la suite de nombreux et laborieux essais.
Cette dernière série est pour l'instant annuelle; elle sera adaptée au
cadre trimestriel dans le cours des publications ultérieures.
Enfin, les indices détaillés de prix à l'exportation sont désormais
accompagnés de séries relevées sur le principal marché mondial de
la même marchandise afin de faciliter les comparaisons entre les
mouvements nationaux et l'évolution mondiale.
Ces fascicules par pays présentent une analyse du commerce
extérieur de chaque Associé de la CEE par produits et par
origine ou destination. Ils contiennent les données par classe
de produits et pour chaque Groupe (CST 3 chiffres) ainsi que
pour un certain nombre de Rubriques et Positions importantes à
l'exportation (CST 5 chiffres). Les valeurs ont été uniformément
exprimées en milliers d'unités de compte (1 000 $) et les quantités
en tonnes sauf exceptions (voir sous « Abréviations » les initiales
d'unités de quantité).
Les valeurs d'importation comprennent les coûts d'assurance et de
transport jusqu'à la frontière du pays importateur (valeur caf) mais
ne comprennent pas les droits de douane, impôts ou taxes perçus
dans ce pays, et les valeurs d'exportation ne comprennent pas les
coûts d'assurance et de transport audelà de la frontière du pays
déclarant (valeur fob).
L'amélioration progressive des résultats requiert l'épuration des
données aberrantes ou la subdivision de celles qui portent sur une
famille trop large de produits. Aussi certaines séries anciennes
ontelles été de ce fait modifiées et les nouveaux résultats sont
marqués «
'
». Des recherches complémentaires porteront sur
d'autres produits litigieux et conduiront à de nouveaux remanie
ments dans les prochains mois.
Pour permettre une consultation plus facile des données déjà
parues, on trouvera page 4 une table portant, pour chaque pays et
chaque trimestre, le numéro de la publication où ces données sont
reproduites.
Les graphiques tendent à retracer le volume des exportations et
importations des EAMA et des groupes de TOM et DOM.
