Die Angaben dieses Teils stammen aus amtlichen nationalen Quellen, doch sind in manchen Fällen K o r r e k t u r e n zwecks besserer Vergleichbarkeit vorgenommen w o r d e n . In einem methodologischen Jahresband, der später erscheinen soll, werden detaillierte Auskünfte über Inhalt und Berech­ nungsweise der einzelnen Angaben sowie über die jeweils benutzten Quellen zu finden sein.

Der Länderteil enthält f ü r jedes Land Angaben f ü r eine Reihe von Sachgebieten, welche die verschiedenen Aspekte seiner Wirtschaftsentwicklung umfassen. Diese wurden nach ihrer Verfügbarkeit sowie ihrer Bedeutung f ü r das betreffende Land ausgewählt, ohne Rücksicht auf Vergleichbarkeit m i t Angaben anderer Länder. Im allgemeinen sind hier die von den nationalen Statistischen Ä m t e r n veröffentlichten Angaben (abgesehen von den Indizes, die auf Basis 1963 = 100 umgerechnet wurden) unverändert übernommen w o r d e n . Hieraus folgt, daß die Zahlen im Länderteil von den entsprechenden Zahlen im Sachgebietsteil abweichen, soweit letztere zwecks besserer Vergleichbarkeit k o r r i g i e r t w o r d e n sind.

Z u den Tabellen für die Länder der Gemeinschaft kommen Tabellen f ü r das Vereinigte Königreich, die Vereinigten Staaten und die assoziierten Länder der E W G , wobei die Tabellen f ü r letztere in wechselnder Folge erscheinen. Außerdem werden die f ü r die Gemeinschaft als Ganzes ver­ fügbaren Angaben In der ersten Tabelle des Länderteils gegeben.

In beiden Teilen des Bulletins werden für die wichtigsten Sachgebiete gegebenenfalls auch saisonbereinigte Reihen geliefert. Eine Beschreibung der Bereinigungsmethode des SAEG ist in Statistische Studien und Erhebungen N r . 1­1968 veröffentlicht w o r d e n . Für die Vereinigten Staaten stam­ men die saisonbereinigten Angaben jedoch vom „Bureau of the Census".

Die neuesten Zahlen sind zum Teil vorläufig und werden gegebenenfalls später berichtigt.

HVCl IlooGlIIClll à court terme de la Communauté Européenne. Il comprend une partie par matières et une partie por pays. Dans la partie par matières, on trouvera sous chaque t i t r e de série les données disponibles pour les divers pays de la Communauté et, dans quelques cas importants, pour le Royaume­Uni et les États­Unis. Sauf exception, les données o n t été ramenées à des unités communes et les indices exprimés sur la base 1963=100. Cette présentation est destinée à faciliter les comparaisons, mais ne d o i t pas faire oublier que la validité de telles comparaisons reste t r i b u t a i r e de divergences assez fréquentes dans le contenu des données.

Les données de cette partie proviennent des sources nationales officielles, mais o n t parfois subi des ajustements destinés à améliorer leur com­ parabllité. Un volume méthodologique annuel, à paraître ultérieurement, fournira des renseignements détaillés sur le contenu et le mode d'éla­ boration des données et précisera, cas par cas, les sources utilisées.

Dans la partie par pays, on trouvera pour un pays déterminé une gamme de séries couvrant les divers aspects de la conjoncture nationale. Ces séries ont été choisies en fonction de leur disponibilité et de leur intérêt propre pour le pays considéré, sans souci de comparabilité avec les données d'autres pays. En règle générale, i l s'agit d'une transcription directe des données publiées par les services de statistique nationaux (les indices étant toutefois ramenés à la base 1963 = 100), sans ajustements spéciaux. // en résulte que les données de la partie par pays peuvent différer des données homologues de la partie par matières, lesquelles sont éventuellement ajustées pour améliorer leur comparabilité.

Les tableaux relatifs aux pays de la Communauté sont complétés par des tableaux relatifs au Royaume­Uni, aux États­Unis et aux pays associés à la CEE (ces derniers étant présentés par roulement). Enfin, les données disponibles pour la Communauté considérée comme un ensemble ont été rassemblées dans le premier tableau de la partie par pays.

Dans les deux parties du Bulletin, des données désaisonnalisées sont fournies s'il y a lieu pour les séries les plus importantes. La méthode d'ajuste­ ment utilisée par l'OSCE a été décrite dans Études et enquêtes statistiques, n° 1­1968. Toutefois, pour les États­Unis, les données désaisonnalisées sont celles du « Bureau of t h e Census».

Les chiffres récents sont parfois provisoires et éventuellement susceptibles de révisions ultérieures.

Nella parte per materie, sotto ogni t i t o l o di serie sono riprodotti i dati disponibili per i vari paesi della Comunità e, in qualche caso importante, per il Regno Unito e gli Stati U n i t i . Tranne alcune tavole, i dati sono stati r i d o t t i a unità comuni e gli Indici espressi sulla base 1963 = 100. Questa soluzione è intesa ad agevolare i raffronti, ma non va dimenticato che, a volte, tali raffronti si operano fra dati di contenuto non identico.

I dati riprodotti in questa parte del volume provengono da fonti ufficiali nazionali, ma in taluni casi sono stati rettificati per migliorarne la compa-rabilità. In un volume metodologico annuale, che sarà pubblicato successivamente, saranno forniti ragguagli particolareggiati sul contenuto e sul metodo di elaborazione dei dati e si preciseranno caso per caso le fonti utilizzate.

Nella parte per paesi, si troverà, per un paese determinato, una gamma di serie statistiche concernenti i vari aspetti della congiuntura nazionale. Tali serie sono state scelte secondo la disponibilità e l'interesse particolare per il paese considerato, a prescindere dalla comparabilità con dati di altri paesi. In linea generale, si tratta di una trascrizione diretta dei dati pubblicati dagli uffici statistici nazionali (gli indici tuttavia sono stati ricondotti alla base 1963 = 100), senza particolari adeguamenti. / dati della parte seconda possono quindi differire dai dati analoghi della parte prima, i quali possono aver subito rettifiche per renderli maggiormente comparabili.

Le tabelle relative ai paesi della Comunità sono completate da quelle per il Regno Unito, gli Stati Uniti ed i paesi associati alla CEE (questi ultimi presentati a turno). Infine, i dati disponibili per la Comunità nel suo insieme sono stati riuniti nella prima tabella della parte per paesi.

Nelle due parti del Bollettino sono forniti — se necessario — dati destagionalizzati per le serie più importanti. Il metodo di aggiustamento uti-lizzato dall'ISCE è descritto nel volume Studi ed inchieste statistiche, n. 1-1968. Per gli Stati U n i t i , tuttavia, i dati depurati dalle variazioni stagionali sono quelli del « Bureau of the Census».

Naast de tabellen voor de landen van de Gemeenschap zijn er tabellen opgenomen voor het Verenigd Koninkrijk, de Verenigde Staten en de met de EEG geassocieerde landen (deze laatste volgens een rouleersysteem). Tenslotte zijn de beschikbare gegevens voor de Gemeenschap in haar geheel beschouwd opgenomen in de eerste tabel van het gedeelte volgens land.

In de beide delen van het Bulletin zijn zo nodig de seizoeninvloeden uitgeschakeld voor de gegevens van de belangrijkste reeksen. De hiertoe door het BSEG gebruikte methode is beschreven in Statistische studies en enquêtes, no. 1-1968. Voor de Verenigde Staten echter zijn de des-betreffende cijfers die van het „Bureau of the Census".

De meest recente cijfers kunnen van voorlopige aard zijn en eventueel naderhand werden herzien.

The section by subject gives under each heading the data available f o r the different Community countries and, in a few important cases, for the United Kingdom and the United States. Except where indicated, the figures are expressed in common units and the base year for the indices is 1963. This is designed t o facilitate comparison, but i t should be borne in mind that the validity of com-parisons of this kind may be impaired by divergences in the content of the data, which occur fairly frequently.

The figures in this section come from official sources in the countries concerned, but adjustments have sometimes been made t o improve com-parability. A further volume t o be published annually will give detailed information on the content of the data and the way they are prepared, indicating the sources for each individual case.

The section by country gives a number of series covering the various aspects of each country's economy. These series have been chosen from those most readily available and w i t h an eye t o their importance t o the country concerned, irrespective of comparability w i t h data from other countries. As a rule, the information is taken over directly from data published by national statistical offices w i t h no special adjustment (except that 1963 is taken as base year for the indices). Consequently, the data in the country section may differ from the equivalent data inthesubject section, where adjustments may have been made t o improve comparability.

As well as the tables for the Community countries, there are also tables relating t o the United Kingdom, t o the United States and t o countries associated w i t h the EEC (the latter in rotation). The data for the Community as a whole have been grouped in a single table — the first in the country section.

In both sections of the Bulletin, seasonally adjusted data are given where appropriate for the major series. The method of adjustment used by the SOEC is described in Études et enquêtes statistiques. N o . 1-1968. The seasonally adjusted figures for the United States, however, are those provided by the US Bureau of the Census.

Some of the more recent figures are provisional, and revised figures may be published later on.
