Myanmar has laid down the first national ICT Master Plan (2006-2010) to build fundamentals for e-Myanmar.

The works scopes were:

ICT infrastructure,

ICT industry,

ICT HRD,

e-Commerce,

e-Government,

e-Education & Awareness,

ICT standardization & liberalization and

The ICT Master Plan 2011 has been developed with the

vision of "socio-economic development through knowledge-based society". The major sectors include:

e-Government, e-Education, e-Commerce, e-society, legal framework, ICT HRD,

ICT utilization and

ICT infrastructure.

Three extended areas were

- Agriculture,

- Mining Industry and
