Initiate a program in Systems Engineering both in the undergraduate and graduate levels; seek accreditation, liaison with industries and governments. Teaching in the general areas of transportation, telecommunications, networks and combinatorial optimization, optimization, multicriteria decision making, and analysis of spatial-temporal information. Research in stochastic networks, spatial time-series, location-and-routing analysis, facility-location and land-use modeling. Helped implement the ITSMetaLAB: A Consortium of Laboratories for Intelligent Transportation Systems, http://syen.ualr.edu/metalab/, which is supported in part by external funding.
