Rural placement opportunities for young adults ages 18-30

With AgriVenture, young Canadians work and live on farms in northern Europe,

United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand or Japan:

Programs are 4-12 months in length with guaranteed farm employment and

accommodation provided by an approved host family.

Trainees are 18-30 years of age, in good health, with a valid driverís license and an

interest in agriculture/horticulture. Agricultural experience is an asset, but not

necessary.

Trainees pay a program fee that includes: airfare including taxes, visa application fees,

medical, travel and baggage insurance, orientation, job & host family placement, 24

hr. emergency contact, administration in home and host country, membership in the

International Agricultural Exchange Association, flight bag.

Participants earn a trainee allowance based on a nationally negotiated wage and work

week.

Trainees meet other young adults from around the world, gain immeasurable work

and personal experience, and see the world while connected with a safe and reputable

Choose a career

that builds on

your education

What are you good at? What kind of career is going to

contribute to the quality of your life? No matter what

your answer, you may be surprised to learn that the

insurance industry has a career path that could take

you exactly where you want to go.

Insurance affects virtually everything we do in life and in business.

And because insurance is all around us, the industry has a wide variety

of careers to match your ambitions. One way to a great career in Canada’s

property & casualty insurance industry is through post-secondary

education. Insurance and Risk Management programs are offered at

BCIT, Mount Royal, Grant MacEwan, University of Calgary, and SIAST.
