The Zucchetti Group's involvement in many different sectors of activity gives customers the possibility of substantial synergy, allowing them to benefit from applications and services that are not only of the highest quality and completely integrable, but are also available on different platforms; in this way users can choose at liberty the solution that best suits their needs, in both economic and functional terms.

Furthermore, the multidisciplinary expertise, the capacity to coordinate, manage and implement projects, the integration of information systems via the Internet, not to mention the use of the most frequently encountered technologies and standards combine to offer the user solutions with the highest degree of operative flexibility and adaptability to changing technological requirements.

the complete integrated solution for stadium access control and security

STADIUM ACCESS CONTROL

M.A.C. - Mobile Access Control is an innovative

access control system based on Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) technology.

M.A.C. enables:

• e l e c t r o n i c e n t r a n c e t i c ke t c h e c k i n g ; • entry denial to people with counterfeit tickets; • effective checking of the overall number of

actual entries;

• rapid public dispersal while maintaining constant monitoring and ensuring maximum security.

M.A.C. is based on a wireless network infrastructure system, and so can be installed anywhere to cover any distance. It is also easily transportable from one place to another, with n o n e e d t o m o d i f y e x i s t i n g s t r u c t u r e s (wiring, building works, etc.). Finally, it is a user friendly system that is intuitive to use and does not require any special training.

The system comprises: • access control software;

• handy Wi-Fi terminal, Windows CE.NET, colour touch screen;

• access point infrastructure.

The Zucchetti wireless system is the ideal, indispensable solution for all situations where workstation mobility and real time information availability are essential. In fact,

under these circumstances wireless terminals are an extremely useful tool for all mobile staff within structures (security managers, law enforcement forces, and everyone else involved in public order), who can monitor entrance point conditions in real time.

While Zucchetti looks after venue security, it also offers sports facility management new opportunities to increase their business.

As a matter of fact, the system is not only designed to automatically

detect all significant entry data, but also allows the use of smart cards, for members or as electronic wallets.

The card can also be used as a prepaid card with a set amount, that can be spent in shops inside or outside the venue, in hypermarkets, restaurant or service station chains, for entry to other sports venues or events, or for other uses, such as for accumulating points in promo-tional campaigns, obtaining di-scounts or certain services. Fur-thermore, the use of the card for purchases also contributes to more accurate profiling of customers, extremely useful for targeted marketing initiatives.

The card can be recharged just like any smart card at arranged outlets (dedicated windows, over the In-ternet or by telephone).

To comply in the most appropriate manner with the demands of the stadium security standards (which require automatic control systems at entrances and a total ban on supporters without tickets from entering the venue), Zucchetti has developed an access control and management installation with automatic and total control of turnstiles by means of a dedicated hardware and software system.

The clear advantages of the Zucchetti solution can be summarised in a new security Decalogue for stadium entry:

1) electronic checking of entry tickets by automatic system.

2) no entry possible for supporters carrying forged tickets; the turnstile is only released when the system has identified the ticket as authentic. 3) efficient counting of the overall and effective number of entries. The system records not only automatic entries, but also all manual turnstile releases by the entry personnel; in this way the number of entries indicated is accurate.

4) checking system for inappropriate objects (thanks also to the possibility of metal detectors in the turnstiles). Spectators pass through the turnstiles one at a time, and are therefore more easy checked, in number but also as regards the carrying of objects. 5) contextual prevention of large-sized objects given the compulsory

single entry of spectators through the turnstiles.

6) rapid processing of entering spectator flows, in both member and ticket-controlled areas.

7) manual release mechanism in the event of public order situations and on agreement with relative authorities.

8) guaranteed access for disabled persons.

9) monitoring of ushers and all entrance personnel (to prevent “freebies”, for example) with assessment of any extra economic costs incurred by the venue management.

The issue of stadium security standards

is felt by all involved: public

administra-tions, the police, sports clubs and fans

alike.

Any solution aimed at tackling the issue

must first of all be based on prevention

and organisational efficiency, to isolate

the more boisterous supporters and thus

minimise the problem, at least inside the

stadium.

The readers positioned at the entrance gates are interconnected by Ethernet. These terminals read the tickets and membership cards, then forward the data to the stadium server station.

The server station receives in real time a complete list of tickets and membership cards from the server of the club issuing the tickets. In this way the readers at the entrance gates are able to establish the authenticity of tickets and cards.

(UEFA) Flexible and scalable hardware and software to adjust the

system to new legislative and environmental requirements.

Continuous assistance and global consulting by Zucchetti to ensure

maximum installation efficiency.

Prompt delivery and excellent value for money.

All these pluses make Zucchetti automatic entry systems unique in their field (and endorsed by the Lega Calcio, the italian football

league), able to offer a host of security solutions while opening up new marketing opportunities for managing companies, not to mention placing all operators in the conditions to provide the most effective and thorough service to the community.

Solving the problem of violence in sports venues helps free police resources so they can dedicate their attention to other tasks, to the advantage of all, while bringing real supporters – who today stay clear of stadiums – back to sporting events.

Choosing Zucchetti solutions means peace of mind, allowing real sports enthusiasts and the city to regain the spectacle of sport, something that belongs to everyone.
