 McKesson’s Horizon Meds Manager is OMH’s current pharmacy

software.

 Serves 23 inpatient hospital pharmacy departments in 24 hospitals.

 Primary support for inpatient, pass and discharge with some

outpatient dispensing.

 Records the physician orders for each patient and provides for the

daily medication needs of the inpatient population.

 Interfaces with the Cerner Lab, MHARS, NIMRS and Open Dental

systems.

 Displays lab results pertinent to the pharmacy that are distributed via

interface from Cerner Lab.

 Provides source data for an HL-7 interface to automated dispensing

machines and file drops to automated inventory and Medicare Part D billing.
