VEKA has lead the world in the environmentally responsible use of PVC-U for almost as long as the industry has existed, showing a real commitment to minimising its environmental impact at every stage from manufacture, fabrication and home energy efficiency to recycling.
VEKA created the first ever purpose-built PVC-U window recycling facility, processing old windows to such a purity to make new windows, rather than lower grade products. We believe it is only 'true' recycling when it is a closed loop process, extending a window's life to a theoretical infinity.
Also, in the last few years, VEKA has supported the design of the UK’s first BFRC ‘A’ Rated window.
All our transport routes are carefully planned to cut mileage and reduce emissions. All vehicles in our fleet are less than five years old; several of them run on LPG rather than diesel and each is able to carry more products than the industry average.
and the environment
VEKA has also shown its commitment to the environment by being among the first in the industry to throw out lead stabilisers in favour of the Calcium Organic alternative. VEKA is accredited with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems Licence No EMS 59308).
Working alongside VEKA is Network VEKA, a dedicated group of independent VEKA fabricators and installers committed to raising the standards of quality and integrity in an industry too often better known for the excesses of its worst operators.
It was founded in 1996 by a few fabricators and installers who realised that they would earn the trust of homeowners if they could uphold the strict high standards of quality, training and guarantees that the organisation is now well-known for. Nearly 140 companies of all sizes now work the Network VEKA way, carrying out annually around 16,000 installations throughout Britain and Ireland to a collective value of over £65million – and enjoying an average installation value that remains significantly higher than the industry average.

That is why we do everything we can to make the process as smooth, simple and trouble-free as possible. At every stage, VEKA staff will team with your own, starting with a full audit of your company’s working procedures and practices, then continuing to completion in a planned and ordered manner.
Tooling is a vital element of the change and, as with every other part of the process, VEKA will be with you all the way, discussing your needs and working together towards a complete solution with minimum disruption to your overall flow of production.
Our engineering support also extends to your computer systems. VEKA will work closely with your software providers to ensure that you are using the correct information relating to fittings and ironmongery.
