This summary shows the main routes on which journeys are disrupted or amended for the dates shown above.

Alterations may affect other areas and passengers are advised to check journey times with National Rail Enquiries before travelling, via 08457 48 49 50 or www.nationalrail.co.uk.

Replacement buses are unable to carry bicycles or non-folding prams, and may depart early to maintain connections.

Emergency Service Alterations

Storm and Flood damage is affecting rail services in various parts of the country, over and above the scheduled engineering work shown in this notice, with buses replacing trains for some journeys. The main routes affected are:

Folkestone-Dover: until further notice

Llandudno Junction-Blaenau Ffestiniog: until 18 January Carlisle-Glasgow/Edinburgh: until 31 January

Ayr-Stranraer: until 31January Newcastle-Carlisle: until 31 January

Passengers must check journey times before travelling, either with National Rail Enquiries or the individual train operators.
