eRecycling

made easy.

Nowadays, business and technology go hand in hand. But what happens to those old or unwanted electronics? The answer, more often than not, is: nothing. We stack it all up somewhere. For businesses, getting rid of old tech raises other concerns, too. Things like data security, regulatory compliance, environmental responsibility and cost effectiveness.

We have

the solution.

We are

the solution.

Why Recycle

Electronics?

I

n our quest to stay current and operate more efficiently, we are constantly upgrading technology. The result is mountains of obsolete and discarded electronic items. It is estimated that the US alone generates more than 8.5 billion pounds of e-waste annually – and just 21% of it is currently being recycled.

These growing stockpiles of used and outdated electronics represent a sizeable threat to the environment and human health.

Electronics contain heavy metals, including lead, mercury, cadmium and hexavalent chromium that can be harmful if released into the environment. Recycling electronics ensures these materials are safely managed and that valuable materials such as steel, glass and plastic, as well as precious metals such as copper, gold, tin, silicon and aluminum are reclaimed for the manufacturing of new products.

Reusing and recycling raw materials from e-waste conserves natural resources and avoids pollution.

IT ASSET DISPOSITION Our focus is on maximizing value for electronics with residual service life. Trained employees thoroughly test every device to ensure that it meets strict

standards for reuse. When equipment is determined to have reuse value, CyclePoint will sanitize all data storage devices and/or refurbish the equipment.

ENVIRONMENTAL ELECTRONICS DISPOSAL – In Indiana, it is against the law to throw most electronic items in garbage where they will end up in a landfill. CyclePoint at TradeWinds offers businesses in Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland a fast, easy solution for compliance.

ON-SITE HARD DRIVE SHREDDING – Available by request, to help ensure compliant, secure destruction of your hard drives prior to transportation.
