Identification details for new customers

If you’re brand new to Bankwest, welcome! We’ll need to confirm who you are so remember to bring an original copy of your choice of the following with you:

one form of primary ID with a photo (i.e. passport or driver’s license), plus one form of primary ID without a photo (i.e. birth certificate or Citizenship papers), plus one form of secondary ID (i.e. a power bill)

Details for new and existing customers

Whether a new or an existing customer, you may also need to provide us with:

personal details and where applicable, those of the other account holders (name, date of birth, address and contact details)

Tax File Number (providing your TFN stops you from paying withholding tax on this account)

proof of concession for Student or Reward Pension Saver Account applications. (eg documentation and proof of enrolment for all apprentices, trainees, tertiary & TAFE students. Or social security, health care or pension card)
