ELECTRIC

V

DIESEL

RUNNING COSTS PER MONTH

LEASE

Through our leasing partner, Hireco, we can provide a total risk-free contract hire solution enabling the deployment of electric vehicles in your fleet.

FUEL COSTS

One of the biggest monthly costs of running a transport fleet is fuel. Introducing electric vehicles to a business will significantly reduce refuelling costs. On the road this typically equates to 21p per mile for a diesel vehicle compared to 3p per mile for an electric vehicle.

CONGESTION + ULEZ

Electric vehicles qualify for 100% discounts from the London congestion charge. The savings for a vehicle entering the zone are significant. The congestion zone area is continually expanding throughout London and also to other major UK cities and urban areas.

MAINTENANCE

Pure electric vehicles have significantly fewer moving parts when compared to the traditional combustion engine. This results in less scope for parts to wear out or be replaced. Electric vehicles require less maintenance, saving costs and also reducing any downtime.

TAX

Under current incentives, the user of an electric vehicle will pay no annual road tax. The inevitable switch to electric vehicle drivelines will offer multiple

benefits for your business, ranging from operational, environmental and importantly financial.

Electric vehicles, at this point in time, are more expensive than our traditional combustion driveline vehicles. However, when you look at the monthly running costs and compare EV v Diesel the uptake of electric vehicles will significantly reduce your monthly running costs. .

LET’S TAKE CHARGE

AC CHARGE

This is the most common charging method for electric vehicles. When plugging an

electric vehicle into a AC charge point, the power gets converted inside the vehicle,

then moves into the car battery. This charging method is most suitable for overnight

or slower charging. Due to its lower costs (production, installation and operation)

these are the more favoured chargers.

DC CHARGE

Fast chargers make use of DC charging. They convert the power before it enters the

vehicle. The power goes directly into the car battery, bypassing the car’s converter. A

DC installation requires a lot of power from the grid. This makes the costs (production,

installation and operation) quite high, resulting in higher tariffs for charging. That said,

DC charging enables rapid recharge times.

BESPOKE SOLUTIONS

Every business is unique, so too are your charging needs. Working alongside you to understand your requirements we will design and implement charging schemes to meet your requirements.

Smart Charging – Dynamic Load Balancing Charge Management & Telematics options Charge Port: Type 2

Charge Power: 7.4 kW AC

Charge Time: 6/7hrs Charge Speed: 22 km/ Fastcharge Port: CCS

Fastcharge Power: 30 kW DC

Fastcharge Time: 90 min Fastcharge Speed: 225 km/h

As part of our total electric solution package, we will guide you through every step of the way to develop a suitable charge infrastructure to fulfil your business requirements. From training & guidance on the many charge points available to full installation through our key partners – we will move together to transition easily to electrification.

CHARGING REQUIREMENTS We will discuss with you in detail the number of charge points you might require and the specification of charge point needed in order to advise on the costs and operation.

ONGOING SUPPORT

Giving you peace of mind, we provide you with ongoing maintenance and support and our expert team is available to answer any questions. ON-SITE

SURVEY
