READINGS OF THE DAY First Reading: Acts 1:15-17, 20a, 20c-26
The disciples decided that someone should take the place of Judas, who killed himself in remorse for betraying Jesus. They nominated two who had been among them from the time of Jesus’ baptism to the crucifixion. Then they drew lots to decide who would join them as witnesses of the resurrection.
Second Reading: 1 John 4:11-16
John reminds us that God dwells in those who love one another. We have come to know God’s love for us. Only by loving one another can we
be sure that God will remain with us always.
Gospel: John 17:11b-19
Jesus prays for his disciples at the Last Supper. He knows that by knowing the word of God as they do, they no
longer belong to the world. He asks that God consecrate them in truth and protect them from the enemies they have made because of their belief in Jesus.

St. Patrick Parish Appreciates!!
Thank you to all of the adults who prepared our youth for their Sacraments this year! We thank Fr. Ron Minner, Mrs. Bridget Quick, and Mrs. Joanne Matina who prepared our youth for Confirmation. We thank Mrs. Aimee Benulis and Mrs. Marla Callaghan who
prepared our children for First Holy Communion and First Penance, and Mrs. Deb Leymeister who prepared our children for First Holy Communion through her many years of teaching PREP. We thank Sister Mary Jane Dunleavy and Mrs. Theresa Keating for their leadership, and Helen Weiss and Alice Doyle for all of their help with these special events. We congratulate Sr. Mary Jane on her retirement. Sister has been a great asset to our PREP program…first as a teacher, and these past two years as the Director of the Program. May God Bless all of these wonderful people for knowing how important it is to be instrumental in the Catholic faith of our young people! Their sacrifice and Catholic example will hopefully leave an indelible impression on our kids for years to come!
A Parishioner Needs Our Help!!
Many of you know our Parishioner, Robert “Oscar” Leskin, husband of Mary Alice. He has had several health issues over the past 18 years. Robert received a heart transplant in December, 2017, and due to a few complications during surgery, both of his kidneys were damaged. During the past three and a half years, he has been receiving grueling kidney dialysis, five hours a day, three days a week. On Good Friday, he received a call saying that he has been moved up to the “Active” Kidney List. This means that if he can find a donor kidney, he can move fast to have the transplant. His family is praying for a miracle that someone in excellent health comes forward to offer a kidney. All expenses will be paid. It has been many miles of travels for this family, and they are grateful for the prayers and concern. Please contact the Leskins if you can help them by being a Kidney Donor of Robert’s blood type at 570-622-3134.
