General Information

Content Creation

Compatible Content

It is preferred that any Image Files, Filmed Content, Holding Slides and Short Advert Reels, Short Films and Feature Films etc. are

converted to a DCP Format. This is the most compatible format with our Projectors.

If it is not possible for you to convert your files into a DCP Format, we can convert them for you, at an additional fee. Please note we prefer to receive the following content:

- Blu-Rays and DVDs formatted for Video Playback

- Images in JPEG, PNG, TIFF and short video files in MOV, MP4, MPEG and QuickTime. (Higher resolution images will have better results onscreen)

Please note: Blu-Ray / DVD Discs formatted for Data or Computer files may require a Computer to be displayed. We suggest you submit all files or disks to our team in any of the above formats. If you cannot provide these formats, please contact us to arrange alternatives.

All content must be submitted at least 10 days prior to the event for testing, as either USB, Hard Drive or Aspera Download. We cannot guarantee that these files will run correctly on our digital

equipment.

Generating DCP’s

Utilising Companies:

If you would prefer to contact an outside company for DCP Creation, we recommend the following companies:

- SilverTrak (www.silvertrak.com.au 02 9007 5600) - Jorr – Integrated Film and Television Solutions

(www.jorr.com.au 03 9509 6648)

If you choose to create a DCP in-house, it is preferred that all

content relevant to the event is on one device. Please note that our system is Windows based and thus our servers will not recognise content on a device formatted for MAC.

For maximum compatibility, shoot and edit content at 24p for a 24.00fps DCP. You can edit content to 23.976fps but your DCP mastering facility MUST confirm your final fil to be true 24.00fps.

DCPs can be in either

- FLAT Ratio (1:85:1 - 1998x1080)

- CINEMA SCOPE Ratio (2:39 - 2048x858)

If you are planning on creating your content using frame rates, such as 25 or 30fps, please be prepared to send content to us early for testing. Using alternative Frames per Second can lead to playback issues, therefore it is a requirement that content is tested well in advance.

To comply with Digital Cinema Initiatives organization rules, DCPs must meet specific expectations. Please see the table on Page 2 for more information.

Q&A’s, Live Music and Entertainment

All events that include Live Elements such as; Q&A’s, Live Music, Entertainment, Introductions, Onstage Talks etc. must have provided a Run Sheet detailing the structure of the event.

This includes:

- Equipment needed (e.g. Microphones – wired/wireless) - Additional Notes (e.g. please have water onstage)

NOTE: We do have an out of house sound technician who can supply further equipment for an additional cost.

Rehearsals

It is compulsory that the On-site Projectionist conducts a screen test at least 4 days prior to a scheduled event to test for any issues that may occur. Checking the content can take anywhere from 30-60 minutes depending on the number of files and complexity of the event.

If you wish to be present during the Screen Test, please make us aware so we can schedule a time. This time is usually before first sessions (8:30-10:30 am) on weekdays.

All content and Run Sheets must be submitted at least 10 days prior to the event for testing, as either USB, Hard Drive or Aspera Download for content, and via email for any documentation/ Run
