ONE OF THE

BEST ONLINE

NURSING

PROGRAMS

I’m an adult returning student who works full time, so an online degree was something I could weave into my life. I’ve taken classes on campus, hybrid classes and classes that were strictly online, and there were some classes I took on campus that I later wish I had taken online. I give kudos to D2L, UWM’s online course management system. I’ve seen a lot of really good things that can be handled in the online environment through our current technology.

FACT: A recent survey of alumni who received their undergraduate degrees from UWM showed that 96% were satisfied with their educational experience.

I loved that UWM was so close to home. The classes were flexible, and I was able to complete a lot of my degree online. This was useful as I worked full time during my entire time at UWM. The professors were great and cared about their students; the advisors always helped to keep me on track for graduation.

I would attend again because UWM is a highly known and ranked university for the BSN degree. Employers are looking for a substantial university. Go UWM!

I was on campus working on my undergraduate degree in finance, but then I had to take some time off to work. But I always knew that education was the most important thing, and so I came back after a year and switched to an online program. As long as I have a stable Internet connection, I can do my work anywhere.

My experience with UWM Online has been really cool. I was kind of worried about it at first because I had never had a truly all-online experience before, but the professors are so easily available — they respond to emails so quickly, and you can call them during their office hours or meet them in person if you live in the area. The best part is the flexibility. You have a lot of flexibility in terms of when you decide to study and when you sit down and do the work.

Master’s candidate, Translation (Japanese to English track)

Courses have always been rigorous but reasonable for the graduate school level. I’ve had great discussions with my classmates and professors, many of whom I’ll remember throughout my career. I’m very grateful to have been able to work on an American master’s degree while living in Europe and working full time. My experience is overwhelmingly positive.
