USO Las Vegas Snapshot

Mission: To lift the spirits of America’s troops

and their families.

USO Las Vegas provides a home away from home and a sense of

community for the 32,245 active duty troops, 4,760 National Guard

personnel, Reservist, and their families based in Southern Nevada by

offering a safe, comfortable, and relaxing lounge as they prepare or are

coming home from deployment. Both our Terminal 1 and Terminal 3

airport centers at McCarran International Airport offer free

non-alcoholic beverages, food, phone cards, Internet and computer usage,

and a movie lounge for relaxation and entertainment. USO Las Vegas also

offers morale-boosting and family-strengthening programs, deployment

and redeployment support to help servicemen and women adjust to the

duty ahead, resiliency training for families facing multiple deployments,

discreet and compassionate escorts and other support for Families of the

Fallen, as well as passenger terminal assistance for troops and loved

ones alike. Since 2010, USO Las Vegas has served more than 155,000

troops and their families.

USO Las Vegas Core Programs

Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 Airport Lounges –

Both USO Las Vegas airport

centers offer free non-alcoholic beverages, food, Internet and computer usage,

phone cards, and a movie lounge for relaxation and entertainment for troops and

their families traveling through McCarran International Airport.

Serving Heroes Family Dinners –

Provides a free, hearty meal, toys, and

family-care packages twice a month to families of currently deployed troops.

Freedom Friday Concert Series

– Every other month we bring morale-boosting

bands, comedians and other Las Vegas headliners out to Nellis and Creech AFBs for

live shows and free food for our troops and their families.

Night at the Movies –

Through a partnership with Galaxy Theaters USO Las

Vegas offers two showings of blockbuster movies monthly to local military families

while also providing snacks and popcorn.

USO Holiday Feast –

We host a free brunch, games and activities for airmen

stuck at Nellis AFB on Christmas Day.

Warrior and Family Care

– USO Las Vegas supports, on average, 20-25 local

military Family Days, Holiday Events, Spring Flings, BBQs, and numerous other

morale-boosting and family strengthening programs each month.

Transition 360 Alliance -

A partnership between the USO and nonprofits

specializing in military-to-civilian transition support services, including RP/6 which

focuses on building community ties by connecting transitioning service members

with local resources to support them as they re-enter civilian life; Hire Heroes USA,
