Keep up to date.
Including with
what’s around you.
You know where you’re going. And now your car knows it too. Navigation
systems have become standard, but new benchmarks are being set by the
Guide & Inform service package. Because when you’re on the road there
are always destinations that only crop up once you’ve already set off.
The cheapest filling station for example. And the quickest way to get there.
A realistic display of your surroundings helps you find your way round,
you get traffic information in real time and you’re even shown where there
are parking spaces nearby. You can use Guide & Inform with your radio
navigation system and via the online customer portal.

With Google Earth™ you can discover lots of new places and experience a completely new navigation display thanks to realistic visual displays of your surroundings.
The “Parking Info” feature shows you available parking options nearby, and also tells you about their prices and opening times.
“Online POI Search” tells you about places you might be interested in by voice command or text entry – always downloaded up to date from the internet.
Get your bearings: Google Street View™ makes destinations clear thanks to 360-degree panoramic pictures from the street.
Don’t listen to just anything. Choose your own news channel and import it into your Volkswagen from the customer portal.
The “Fuel Info” function gives you a quick overview of nearby petrol stations, their opening times and current fuel prices.
The “Weather” function tells you about the latest weather information where you are and at your destination when you’re on the road – taking your expected arrival time into account.

Save yourself time and stress: with “Online Traffic Information” you can always keep an eye on the latest situation on the roads and avoid traffic jams for example.

Why not control
your car from the
outside?
Imagine your car could talk. Instead of having to check for yourself,
you could simply ask it how it is. And it would also tell you what interior
temperature you’ve set for your planned departure time and whether
it should perhaps be a little higher or lower to ensure you feel good as soon
as you get in. Or what it has to say about your battery’s charge status
and how far you can currently drive in it. Or where it is actually parked just
in case you can’t remember because you’ve got more important things
on your mind. Or how you can optimise its energy consumption. And you’re
told all this via your smartphone or computer. Wherever you are.
Unfortunately our cars can’t talk. But they can still tell you all this. Quite
simply with e-Remote.
e-Remote

The “Air Conditioning” service allows individual temperature control and thanks to the “Window Defroster”¹⁾ function you can also see out better, giving you longer in bed.
The “Driving Data” function analyses your driving style and provides information about average consumption for example.
You can also view all relevant vehicle data, for example the car’s range and current mileage or whether the battery should be recharged.
With “Battery Management” you control the charge status of the battery and start or stop charging. Feel safe all the time: with “Doors & Lights” you can be assured that your Volkswagen’s doors are locked and the parking light is off.
With the “Departure Time Programming” service you say when the battery in your Volkswagen should be charged and what interior temperature you want at your planned departure time. The “Parking Position” service tells you where your car is parked and, if necessary, the quickest way to get there.

The mobile online services (Car-Net) can only be used with the optional “Discover Media” and “Discover Pro” features. You also need a mobile terminal device (e.g. a smartphone) capable of operating as a mobile WLAN hotspot. Alternatively with the “Business” mobile interface option, a mobile phone with a remote SIM access profile (rSAP) or a SIM card with a phone and data option can be used. Car-Net services are only available if you have an existing mobile phone contract or one that is concluded separately with your mobile service provider and where coverage is provided by your mobile phone network. When you receive data packages from the internet, additional costs (e.g. roaming charges) may be incurred irrespective of your mobile phone tariff, particularly when abroad. Due to the data volume involved in using Car-Net services, we strongly recommend that you agree a data flat rate with your mobile service provider. A separate contract needs to be concluded online with Volkswagen AG to use Car-Net. After receipt of their vehicles, customers have 90 days to register their vehicle on www.volkswagen.com/car-net. The availability of Car-Net services may vary from country to country. These services are available for the agreed contractual period and may be subject to changes in content during the contractual period. You can find out more about Car-Net from www.volkswagen.com/car-net and from your Volkswagen partner. Contact your mobile service provider for information about mobile tariffs and terms and conditions.
