Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher on college level work

Step One:
Apply to Western Washington University
Complete the Western Washington University Application for Transfer and Post Baccalaureate Application for Extended Education. The application
form for admission is not fillable; please print and mail as directed on the form.
Official transcripts from all institutions in sealed envelopes Admission application fee
International students IELTS or TOEFL scores. See WWU Admissions website http://admissions.wwu.edu/
Re-Applying: Any applicant who is not accepted to the program must reapply to Western and the program for future consideration.

Priority Deadline: April 1 (end of next business day, if weekend or holiday) Submit applications to the address above. Applications received and/or
completed after the priority deadline will be considered for acceptance to the program on a space available basis. All applicants will be notified of their application status periodically.

What Happens After Application to the Program?
Applicants to the program will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of their program application within a few business days of submission. If you do not receive this confirmation, please call 360.650.7644.
Successful applicants will be offered acceptance into the program via e-mail generally within 60 days of the application priority deadline. You must respond within the time specified on your letter of offer to accept your space in the program.
All applicants will be periodically contacted during the application review process regarding their status. Depending upon the number of qualified applicants and
subsequent cancellations, offers may be made to waitlisted applicants up to the first day of class.
Waitlisted applicants are encouraged to submit updated transcripts and contact information to the program as appropriate. Incomplete program applications will
not be reviewed until all requirements have been submitted.

Requirements for Accepted Applicants
Upon acceptance to the program, applicants will receive instructions how to submit the following required documentation prior to registration (usually early September). Failure to submit all documentation may result in beingdropped from the program and your space being given to someone on the waiting list.

Tetanus, Diphtheria, & Pertussis (Tdap) Varicella (Chicken Pox)
Influenza
Annual testing for tuberculosis (PPD or IGRA)

You must be a Registered Nurse to complete the RN to BSN program. Nursing students in the last year of an associate degree or diploma pre-licensure nursing program may apply to the WWU RN to BSN Program if graduating before starting RN to BSN program coursework. Recent associate degree or diploma prepared nurses may be offered “conditional admission” pending successful completion of the NCLEX by the end of the second quarter of program coursework.

The Institute of Medicine (IOM, 2011) has recommended that the percentage of nurses with a BSN or higher be increased by 80% by 2020.
