Protect workloads on VMs, physical servers and in the cloud

Use a single application for fast, reliable backup, replication and restores of your customers’ critical data. Up to 288 block-level snapshots a day provide recovery point objectives (RPOs) of up to five minutes and near-instant recovery time objectives (RTOs) to ensure your customers always have access to business-critical systems.

Restore operations almost instantly with an RTO of minutes

With AppAssure’s Live Recovery capability, your customers can have near-continuous access to their protected data. They can resume the use of an impacted server directly from the backup file without waiting for the production server to have a complete restore.

Perform automated

recovery testing and

verification of backups

Give your customers certainty that the data they’re backing up is recoverable with AppAssure’s Verified Recovery capability. AppAssure performs automated nightly mount checks of file systems, Microsoft Exchange and SQL Server instances. If a problem is found with corrupt data or application data that will prevent these from being mounted, AppAssure will send out alerts, providing time to correct issues before restoring the data after an incident.

Restore a single file,

message or data object

to a complete machine

Restore data at any level, from a single file, message or data object, to a complete machine (physical or virtual), even to dissimilar

hardware with AppAssure’s Universal Recovery capability. The data

can be restored to any supported system: physical, virtual or cloud environments, enabling local, offsite or disaster recovery.

Recover from disasters

by creating virtual

standby VMs

Continually send updates to a VM that can be activated in case there’s an issue with the primary machine using AppAssure’s Virtual Standby feature. When the primary machine is restored, users are able to fail back with all the changes that were sent to the standby VM.

Flexible deployment

Dell DR4100 and Dell

DR6000 Backup and

Recovery Appliances

Minimize the time and storage

needed to protect production data by using a backup-to-disk appliance as the repository for protected data. The Dell DR Series appliances ensure data recovery and integrity, and overcome your customers’ toughest backup and disaster recovery challenges. They provide faster backup and restore times, and reduce the amount of storage necessary to protect ever-growing data sets.

By using built-in, block-based deduplication and compression in conjunction with DR Rapid technology, the DR4100 and the DR6000 help you:

• Reduce the storage footprint for backups

• Enable backup data to remain on disk and online longer

• Remove the need to use tapes for backup

• Minimize the amount of data sent over networks to disaster recovery sites • Use the backup software of your

choice — choose one of 15 different supported backup software solutions

The DR Series systems are extremely efficient, high-performance

disk-based backup and recovery appliances available in both physical and virtual configurations. The DR Series appliances are simple to deploy and manage, and offer unsurpassed TCO benefits.

Innovative system software and an all-inclusive licensing model provide optimal functionality and help eliminate the hidden costs of future feature upgrades. The DR Series appliances have a simple installation process with intuitive remote setup and management capabilities. In addition, they are available in a range of usable capacity points, making them ideal for small enterprise, remote office environments and larger enterprise settings.

Through the use of innovative Dell deduplication and compression technology, the DR Series systems can help achieve data reduction levels up to 15:1. This reduction in data means that more backup data can be retained longer and within the same footprint. As disk backup target repositories, the DR Series systems are specifically engineered to handle high-throughput streaming backup workloads, with all deduplication and compression operations being performed in-line. This approach minimizes the impact on backup and recovery performance.

Use your favorite backup software to back up your servers. The DR appliance will dedupe and com-press your data, maximizing your storage efficiency. Replicate your data to the cloud or offsite for extra protection against data loss.

Dell DR2000v Backup

Disk Virtual Appliance

For cost-effective data protection for client sites, remote or branch offices, the DR2000v is an attractive choice since no additional hardware investments are necessary. This pure software solution delivers all the same benefits of a physical DR appliance, including deduplication, compression, replication and advanced data protection.

Avoid the logistic and cost obstacles of deploying a physical backup to disk appliance with the DR2000v, an economical alternative for protecting data at remote or branch offices. An expansion of the Dell DR Series, the DR2000v is a disaster recovery backup virtual appliance running inside a VM on a VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V server.

This pure software solution delivers all the same benefits of a physical DR appliance, including deduplication, compression, replication and

advanced data protection. To store the backed-up data, the DR2000v uses storage disks resident in the hypervisor server it’s loaded on and requires a peer DR4000, DR4100 or DR6000 appliance to be activated. The DR2000v licenses (orderable in packs of one or 10 licenses) are available in capacity points of 1, 2 or 4TB (with a maximum of eight containers), so data protection and disaster recovery can now be expanded to remote or branch office locations.

Use the DR2000v virtual appliance to dedupe your backup data and replicate it offisite to a physical DR appliance for safekeeping.
