Changing to SQL Server 2008 for an Existing Installation

To install SQL Server 2008 support for an existing installation of CA CM Enterprise Workbench, execute these steps:

1. Perform the DB installation described in the section Installing Support for SQL Server 2008 Using the Enterprise Workbench DB Setup Tool (see page 10).

Performing a New Installation with SQL Server 2008

To install CA CM Enterprise Workbench with SQL Server 2008, perform the following step.

Note: Anytime you see SQL Server 2005 during the installation, consider it as

the same as SQL Server 2008, since these two versions do not differ in the configuration done by the CM Enterprise Workbench installation.

1. Perform the DB installation described in the section Installing Support for SQL Server 2008 Using the Enterprise Workbench DB Tool (see page 10). You should note the DB user password specified during this installation in panel “Database Configuration Information,” because you will need it later. 2. Perform the Custom installation of the product as described in the CA

Change Manager Enterprise Workbench Implementation Guide, with the following two exceptions:

a. In the “Select Features” screen do not select the Database Support installation, because it will be done after the CA CM Enterprise
