INSTRUCTION MANUAL

The microscope model OMTM-5501 can be widely used in medical and sanitary establishment,

laboratories, institutes, colleges and universities for teaching demonstration. It is also an ideal instrument for biological, bacteriological, pathological and pharmaceutical research.

3. MAJOR STRUCTURE

The microscope has ten eyepieces for five people to observe simultaneously. It is composed of three parts: Main Body, Sub-Body and Electricity Supply Box.

The Electricity supply box is in separate part (equipped with light adjustable indicator), connected with Main Body by wire and plug.

The Main Body contains cold light illumination box, condenser, Pointer, mechanical stage, revolving nosepiece, binocular, objective, eyepiece, base, coarse and fine coaxial focusing adjustment, which is for one person to view.

Sub-body includes two parts in the left and right, each, one is equipped with two binoculars, receptively for two observers That is totally for four observers. Each sub-body is supported by vertical pillar to make stable when observing.

Inside electricity supply box are illumination transformer, pointer transformer, light adjustable circuit board and light adjustable indicator.

4. PRINCIPLE

The key principle and optical system are shown in figure 1.

Light up from the objective, through the cubic prism, is separated into two beams. One passes directly into the main prism for binocular observing. Another beam through the beam splitter prism (2) is divided into the two rays by left and right. The left ray through prism (5), IX objective (6), when passing beam splitter prism (3), is again divided into two rays to enter two binoculars. While, the right ray through prism (5), lx objective (6), when passing beam splitter prism (4), is divided into two rays to enter two binoculars.

The result, images for five observers is achieved.

5. INSTALLATION AND ADJUSTMENT

(shown in fig 2)

Place the main body (part 01) on the working table; install the prism group for changing image (part 02) on top of the part 01 tightened with the screw (01-2),upon which install binocular head (part 03) tightened with screw (02-1). Then, "behind part 01 install illumination box (part 04), screw linking sleeve (part 04).

Place electricity supply box on the working table, insert the plug of illumination group (part 04) into the socket of electricity supply box (part 0 5). Thus, the installation of main body is finished.

Put the sub body (part 06) marked "left" at the left side of main body, install the two binocular group (part 03) on top of the part 06 tightened with screw (02-1). The left sub body is installed. In the same way, install two binocular groups on top of the right sub body. The right sub body is also installed

The next step is to join the left and right sub body with main body separately by the two pieces of linking pillars. The two tops of pillars are fixed with three screws M3x4 (07-1). In the vertical pillars group of sub body, loosen screw M4X8 (06-l), turning the screw (06-2) can adjust the height to keep in the same height with main body.

6. USAGE

After installing, plug in the electricity supply box, press the switch on/off" in "on" state. The instrument connects the power and the indicating light shines.

Rotate the objectives 4x, 10x; 40x, 100x (fig 2 Part 08) in sequence into the threaded holes of the nosepiece. Insert the eyepiece into the inclined eyepiece tube of main body and sub-body (Fig 2 Part 09)

Place the specimen in the center of the stage of main body; center the object in the field of view by moving the slide holder controls.

First use low l0x objective, turn the coarse focusing knob (fig2 01-1) to raise the stage and move the specimen near the objective, observe the image through the eyepiece, turn the coarse focusing knob until you find the specimen image. Then turn the fine focusing knob to get the sharp image. Please adjust the

Adjust the interpupilary distance between the two eyepiece tubes to fit the person's eyes.

Rotate the pointer to make the pointer image indicate cell tissue which need careful inspection and analysis .If need to adjust the brightness of field of view and pointer, you can move the handle of electricity supply box.

7. MAINTENANCE

The microscope is the same as other optical instrument; need to be kept in cool, dry, dustless place. The instrument should be covered with dust guard after using.

Never disassemble the lens because they are corrected stringently. If there is stain on the lens, it can wipe out with mixture of alcohol and ether, but you should pay attention not to seep it into the inside of the objectives so as not to dissolve glue. Dust on the lens can be wiped away by clean brush.

Coarse and fine focusing equipment and nosepiece are precisely constructed and should not be dismantled without authorization.

When not in use, keep the objectives in the objective box and cover the eyepiece tube cover with eyepiece tube cover.
