The Basics of Compositing for Production:
Assembly of a scene in 2D requires a number of input plates that are then put together utilizing the compositing software. Creation of the input plates and management of that data are tied into the rest of the workflow—including 3D scene assembly. Plates come from one of three sources: original camera plates (and/or portions thereof isolated by keying or roto shapes), 2D animation and matte paint layers, and from renders of 3D scene data...
This module is as a primer for beginning compositors, and a knowledgeable reference for experienced compositors.
Scheduled for : 6th February to 30th April, 2012 (12 weeks)
