Birth of PMO in COMAU

2007: PMO year zero

Comau business complexity increased frantically in the last 15 years, and a dramatic change was required.

At mid 2007, following the need of a better projects governance, a Corporate Contract & Project Management Organization was established in Comau to:

Manage multi-national projects with the right empowering and visibility Harmonize Project Management rules and tools worldwide

Manage Projects Portfolio

Allow experiences flow between different Countries and Businesses

Comau started the travel from a centric-multiclustered model to a collaborative-networked model

The Project Management Institute (PMI®) was chosen as a reference for Project Management practice and the PMBOK® as a guideline for Project Management Processes.
