COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

Module 1 – Agency & Fair Housing - Bruce Plummer

Representing sellers and buyers, CIS and Delaware Code made easy to understand with practical situations, Fair Housing topics including complaint process and advertising. A Module 1 course is a mandatory

requirement for licensing period ending April 30, 2016. A total of 21 credit hours are now required for license renewal.

Module 1 – Agency & Fair Housing - Michael Morton

Focuses on obligations and required duties of the CIS, vicarious liability, Delaware Code, Actions Permitted, Landlord Tenant, disabilities, additional provisions and exemptions, human relations commission and the Federal Fair Housing Act. A module 1 course is a mandatory requirement for licensing period ending April 30, 2016. A total of 21 credit hours are now required for license renewal.

Module 2 – Professional Standards / Approved for NAR Ethics - Nancy Law **also approved for PA credit

Professional standard topics of procuring cause, arbitration and mediation, and more. This course satisfies the NAR Quadrennial Ethics requirement. A module 2 course is a mandatory requirement for licensing period ending April 30, 2016. A total of 21 credit hours are now required for license renewal.

Module 2 – Let’s Get it Right! / Approved for NAR Ethics - Ruth Vella **also approved for PA credit

The objective of this course is to help licensees make the best decisions when facing legal, moral, or ethical dilemmas. The general objective is to identify the ethical issues, problems and dilemmas facing real estate licensees and to apply a process for ethical decision making. A module 2 course is a mandatory requirement for licensing period ending April 30, 2016. A total of 21 credit hours are now required for license renewal. Module 3 – First Time Home Buyers - Guiding a Buyer into a first home - Barbara Brodoway –

Agents will learn who actually qualifies as a first time homebuyer for mortgage programs and transfer tax exemptions; how to review and address concerns with the Agreement of Sale, Sellers' Disclosure form, and appraisals; and how to use non-profit housing counselors, programs, and agencies for financial education, settlement help assistance, and mortgage

programs to benefit your client. A module 3 course is a mandatory requirement for licensing period ending April 30, 2016. A total of 21 credit hours are now required for license renewal.

Module 3 – Real Estate Documents - Bruce Plummer

Overview of the different documents used in real estate. A module 3 course is a mandatory requirement for licensing period ending April 30, 2016. A total of 21 credit hours are now required for license renewal. Module 3 – Real Estate Jeopardy / Documents - Roz Williams

This class is modeled after a popular television game show and is designed to be lively and interactive! Class participants will be selected to compete by answering questions from categories related to contracts,

disclosures, home inspections, surveys, and various subcategories. Questions will be ranked from easiest ($100 level) to most difficult ($500 level), and explanations and discussion will follow each question. An overview of definition and responsibilities of the Virtual Office Broker, Compliance and Supervision of the Virtual Office, and Risk Reduction and Client/Customer Disclosure. A module 4 course is a mandatory requirement for licensing period ending April 30, 2016. A total of 21 credit hours are now required for license renewal.

Module 4 – Office Management – Larry Tims

An overview of the definition and responsibilities of the Broker including Risk Reduction, RESPA, TREND compliance, etc.. A module 4 course is a mandatory requirement for licensing period ending April 30, 2016. A total of 21 credit hours are now required for license renewal.

Module 4 – Real Estate Jeopardy / Office Management - Barbara Brodoway

This class is modeled after a popular television game show and is designed to be lively and interactive! Class participants will be selected to compete by answering questions from categories related to contracts, disclosures, home inspections, surveys, and various subcategories. Questions will be ranked from easiest ($100 level) to most difficult ($500 level), and explanations and discussion will follow each question. A module 4 course is a mandatory requirement for licensing period ending April 30, 2016. A total of 21 credit hours are now required for license renewal.

Discussion of issues related to legislation. A module 5 course is a mandatory requirement for licensing period ending April 30, 2016. A total of 21 credit hours are now required for license renewal.

Module 5 – Flood Insurance & The Chesapeake Watershed - Harry Wooding **also approved for PA credit

Discussion for keeping Agents abreast of the changes the CFPB will mean to settlement procedures, and how it will affect the settlement procedure. The changes to FEMA will affect more homes that have not typically been in a flood zone as well as price changes to those that are currently in a water front community.

A module 5 course is a mandatory requirement for licensing period ending April 30, 2016. A total of 21 credit hours are now required for license renewal.

Module 6 – Selling HUD Homes – Making it Easy! - Stephen Marcus

Learn about all aspects of selling HUD Homes, including what is a HUD home, who manages, who can sell, listing information, property condition codes, financing the purchase, bidding process, preparing the contract, HUDS as-is policy. A module 6 course is a mandatory requirement for licensing period ending April 30, 2016. A total of 21 credit hours are now required for license renewal.

Module 6 – Don’t Let Your Sale Fall Apart (and what to do if it does) - Bill Ward **also approved for PA credit

Today's Buyers are more demanding and Sellers often find themselves in difficult financial situations. In this Course we'll offer tips to hold your sale together and get it closed. You'll learn how to address

property shortcomings, credit and appraisal problems, home inspection issues, and short sales. We'll also cover the rights and obligations of Buyers, Sellers, and Realtors when the transaction starts to fall apart.

Module 6 – What Agents Should Know - Harry Wooding **also approved for PA credit

In today's changing market every agent needs to know the intricacies of pricing a home properly. The market conditions change faster than ever, every agent needs to be able to price a home for a timely sale. This course will cover the ins and outs of pricing a home as well as covering property management and landlord tenant code. A module 6 course is a mandatory requirement for licensing period ending April 30, 2016. A total of 21 credit hours are now required for license renewal.

Module 7 – Real Estate Safety Matters - William Lucks

This course is to instill safety awareness and habits as second nature so that real estate professionals, as well as their clients and customers – know how to avert or respond to dangerous situations and avoid harm as they practice their profession. A module 7 course is a mandatory requirement for licensing period ending April 30, 2016. A total of 21 credit hours are now required for license renewal.

Module 7 – Social Media / Expanding Your Market - Chris Rowe

Using the major social media search engines used today to promote your business, what each brings to it’s User and Audience, prospecting on Facebook, LinkedIn, Pintrest, Google Plus, etc.
