Established in 2006, Flash Digital set out as little more than a production company specializing in branding. But as time passes by, with it comes evolution. Now nearing a decade, Flash Digital is realizing its destiny and has become a real industry player, offering a full service basket with a full 360-degree approach ranging from concept and design, right through to in-house production and on-site installation, project management, as well as everything in between. And that’s the real key differentiator! Having the muscle of being a full service outfit, we tackle both large and small projects, and follow a pricing model that is easily customizable to suit the needs of any client, no matter the size or requirements.

From inception, our desire has been to supply a single sourcing point for branding materials, carried through from design to installation. And thanks to our masterfully skilled production team, and our array of senior staff who all come from an advertising background, and who have individually, made a champion impression and left a lasting mark in the industry, we can confidently hold no punches in saying that we’ve achieved just that.

OUR CAPACITY

There’s a certain luxury that comes with having founders who are backed by a marketing and advertising background. Firstly, this has equipped us with an absolute understanding of campaign demands, predominantly regarding look and feel, turn-around time and end product quality. Give us those challenges and our departments thrive, a prime example is our design studio. Our “best of breed” designers share collective experience spanning over a decade, and all under the leadership and direction of a veteran Art Director. For them, ‘design is the science of simplicity that’s found in beauty’, and they’ve very quickly, built up a reputation for flair and panache when it comes to engineering inspired creative and collateral. This is reflected in brochures, publications, banners and signage.

Backing them is our full production facility with state of the art equipment, as well as our technical and manufacturing team. We also have a dedicated team specializing in technical drawing, for signage design and development, as well as a Wide Formatting Printing Department excelling in the printing process, including colour management, stitching and assembly.

SIGNAGE

We provide a comprehensive range of services for corporate signage and branding roll out. We undertake initial surveys and signage audits, and submit a full program of recommendations for the application of our clients’ corporate and brand identities, irrespective of their different venue locations. We produce and install all types of signage including, Fabricated Signs, Illuminated Signs and Way-finding signs.

FABRICATED SIGNS

This offering showcases our design and production ability to fabricate any form of sign, requiring any form of material, for letters, shapes and logos. These are usually self-standing units or placed on a surface and give a three dimensional presence to a design. They are lit up from the inside or surface and ensure designs stand out. Based on a client’s requirements, we create the design specifications, develop the engineering details, build and create the structure and install it at any site.

WAY-FINDING SIGNS

In any successful Way-finding unit, signage must work in harmony with landscape architecture, site features, foliage, lighting, as well as brand and design elements.

Our exterior signage offering includes gateway signage, parking area signage, pedestrian signage, traffic management signage, safety signage and building identification signage.

Our interior signage includes directional signage, destination and facility identification signage, accessibility signage, as well as safety evacuation signage.

ILLUMINATED SIGNS

We also specialize in illuminated signage, these comprise of signs that are lit up from the inside. Our range includes Neon Flash signs, LED Light Emitting Dios, Slim Line Light Boxes and Illuminated Boxes and advertising boards.

Additionally, our range of solutions stretches from temporary displays to long-term multi-usage sites. Also, our service offering includes mobile billboards, which allows for our clients’ brands to stand out in transit situations.

HOW WE WORK

We follow a set process in delivering our cohesive service offering. It ensures we deliver turnkey integrated

and measurable solutions for any of our clients.

BRANDING DEVELOPMENT

Proper specifications are drawn up and compiled. A list of all proposed branding elements is drawn up and discussed, as well as costs.

SITE AUDIT

A site inspection is conducted on the venues to determine the overall branding requirements. Suitable branding areas are identified taking into consideration factors such as visibility, way finding signage, and regulations. Branding elements are identified for the various areas. Measurements and images are taken to ensure available elements meet requirements.

TRACKING AND RESULTS

Evaluation and report will be drawn up on the effectiveness of the branding. A survey could also be done to sample issues such as visibility, directional and way-finding, understanding of the messaging being communicated etc. A detailed report is then compiled, also detailing the status of all branding elements.

PRODUCTION OF ALL ELEMENTS

Once designs are signed off, production commences. All Branding and or signage is manufactured in-house and our clients are more than welcome to visit us and view the process. We ensure that we get the right quality print, colour coordinates, and material specifications within the client’s order cycle time and provide colour proofs to ensure adherence to your briefs.

IMPLEMENTATION

Installation or set up, of all required elements commences in-line with the branding plan. For fixed branding, e.g. signage, we ensure that they are mounted to the correct specifications and may be signed off by an engineer if need be. For temporary branding such as event branding etc, during the event all branding elements will be monitored and maintained for maximum exposure. Once event has ended all elements are removed, packed and taken to storage. Elements are checked, cleaned and repaired before storing.

DESIGN

Approved elements are designed according to the theme, design look & feel, and messaging developed in the plan. All designs would be in-line with the CI manual guidelines as well as the brief, and plan.
