ThE SOLuTIOn FOR DISTRIBuTED COMPAny COnTACTS

up-to-date contact details are a key asset for your organisation. Often, though, the data is scattered across various offices and databases, or is only available in certain applications, making the data hard to find and time-consuming to maintain. As a result, it can quickly become redundant and inconsistent. Sound familiar? If so, you have probably thought about consolidating all your data. But that ties up valuable resources and costs a lot of time and money.

XPhone Virtual Directory offers a much easier, more cost-effective way to consolidate your contact data. Data is standardised and made available to your mission critical systems and applications without requiring any adaptation. your employees can access all the contact information they need at any time and any place. XPhone Virtual Directory is the ideal solution for implementing a centralised, Web-based enterprise address book – or adding functionality to your unified communications solution, LDAP-enabled applica-tions and system phones.

XPhone Virtual Directory retrieves data right from the original data sources and supplies the standardised contact data via a central LDAP interface.

Data sources: ■ ODBC / SQL ■ Microsoft Outlook ■ Microsoft Dynamics ■ Tobit David ■ Datev Pro ■ Cloud applications

■ Telephone book CDs / Web services ■ Lotus notes

■ Active Directory / LDAP ■ CSV / TXT

Client interfaces:

■ LDAP-enabled end devices ■ LDAP-enabled applications ■ Microsoft Outlook ■ PBXs and system phones ■ Smartphones

ACCESS yOuR COnTACTS & ADDRESSES DIRECTLy

Providing direct data access from all mission-critical systems streamlines the communi-cation processes in every department and boosts worker productivity at the office, on the road and in home offices. Your organisation will deliver better-quality services– and keep your customers and partners more satisfied.

Personal and central: data sources supported

Regardless of whether your contacts are stored in SQL databases, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Outlook, your Active Directory, Tobit David or other sources – with XPhone Virtual Directory, you can access all your data as well as data from the "cloud", e.g. Google Apps for Business or the Telefonbuch Deutschland Web service, at any time. you can even integrate private Outlook contact folders if your organisation runs an Exchange server.

Flexible data mapping

The mapping wizard greatly simplifies database inte-gration. you decide what contact fields are relevant and should be mapped to XPhone Virtual Directory. This con-tact information is then shared with other applications or systems via client interfaces. In addition, you can readily aggregate data from multiple fields and stan-ardise phone numbers without adapting or modifying your original data. XPhone Virtual Directory already comes with a host of standard mappings.

Sought and found: always the best data

XPhone Virtual Directory ensures that you always receive the best hits when searching. By prioritising your databases, contacts from your personal Outlook address book appear before other hits from public databases, for example. Thanks to the proximity search function, you can also receive information on the caller if only the company's centralised number is available in your database instead of the extension.

High performance – without replication

XPhone Virtual Directory retrieves data right from the original data sources. As a result, the data is always up to date without requiring replication. Thanks to a special index for phone numbers and contact details, search hits are returned within seconds without slowing data source performance.

The choice is yours: security

you decide who can access which data sources. If your client supports Windows Authentication, the permis-sions can be assigned based on your Active Directory users and security groups. That way, some departments can receive access to all the contact information, while others only see selected details.

With the mapping wizard, you can easily map data fields for use in all your various clients.

ACCESS FROM EVERy APPLICATIOn

For your PBX and system phone

your phone or communication platform supports LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol). now you can also use your contacts with these systems. XPhone Virtual Directory offers an optimised view for displaying LDAP-enabled system phones and prepares the data in such a manner that contacts can be accessed directly.

For your Intranet and your smartphone

XPhone Virtual Directory comes with a Web-based stand-alone address book. It can serve as a central enterprise directory and be integrated into your organisation's interface, for example. The smarphone interface means that you can access your contacts at any time.

For Microsoft Outlook

Do you manage contacts mostly in Microsoft Outlook, but still want to access other data sources as well? With XPhone Virtual Directory, all your entire contact data is only a few keystrokes away via the search function in your Outlook client.

XPhone Virtual Directory provides your data over LDAP or in its own Web-based address book. The solution adapts to your environment – not the other way around – so you won't have to change the attributes configured in your applications. You can set up different interfaces for different clients and adapt the data fields and attributes to your individual requirements, e.g. using the standard mapping already included in the scope of delivery.

For Cloud and IP-Centrex applications

you can easily make your local contact data available to cloud applications via automatic export using XPhone Virtual Directory. Or even the other way around: use your local applications and devices to access contact data from the cloud.

For your mobile phone

Play it safe: XPhone Virtual Directory presents your contacts in the LDAP browser on the iPhone and other smartphones without storing the data on your mobile device. you always use the latest contact details – and if the deviceis lost or stolen, your valuable data will not end up in the wrong hands.

For XPhone Unified Communications, XPhone Express and other LDAP-enabled applications

XPhone Virtual Directory is the ideal extension for your unified communications solution and any other LDAP-enabled applications that you wish to access your enterprise contacts from.
