(1) Contract with the following people to provide Emergency Service Training during 2012-13 for the students in the adult EMT Program:

(2) Contract with MM Architects Inc. to provide a Boundary, Topographic, and Location Survey as well as a Base Plan preparation for the Aston site location total cost not to exceed $ 15,000.

(4) Continue to contract with Nora Downey as Financial Aid Consultant for the LPN Program during the 2013-14 program year at $72 per hour not to exceed $19,800. (5) Continue to contract with Widener University to provide simulated clinical experiences
during 2013-14 for students in the practical nursing program at a cost not to exceed $150 per hour for the use of simulator, plus cost of supplies; and $50 per hour for instructor training and technical support.
(6) Continue to purchase iPODS from Apple for 2013-14 school year at a cost of $200 per student. Class size will not exceed 100 students per school year.
(7) Continue to purchase Nursing Central electronic books from Nursing Central at an estimated price of $180 per student. Class size may not exceed 100 students.
(8) Continue to purchase Assessment Technologies Institute software for nursing computer support programs for the school year 2013-14 not to exceed $55,000.
(9) Convert the Assistant to the Delaware County Technical Schools Director/District Liaison position to the Assistant Delaware County Technical Schools Director/District Liaison.
(10) Convert two part time custodial positions to one full time position. (11) Dispose of a training vehicle at no cost to DCIU.
(12) Advertise to receive bids for materials, supplies, equipment, and contracted services as needed for all areas for the 2013-14 school year.
(13) Approval to participate in any legally constituted cooperative purchasing program during the 2013-14 school year including, but not limited to, PEPPM, Pennsylvania Department of General Services Commodity Contracts (State Bids), U. S. Communities and Delaware County Schools Joint Purchasing Board.
(14) Five students and two advisors to attend the FCCLA Competition July 7-11, 2013, in Nashville, TN. Estimates total expenses are $10,665 including registration, food and transportation.
(15) Sixteen students and two advisors to attend the FCCLA Competition June 24-30, 2013 in Nashville, TN at an estimated expense of $20,084 including registration food and transportation.
(16) Operate Summer Camps from June 24-28, 2013 at the Folcroft and Marple sites for students ages 11-15, at a cost per student of $150. Estimated total expenses are $15,400. Camps are as follows:
Cosmetology Camp (Folcroft)
Students will be introduced to the all aspects of the beauty industry. Learn the science and art of skin and hair care. Practice hairstyling, braiding, make-up and caring for skin.
Future chefs explore this introduction to culinary arts. This camp blends basic cooking skills with hands-on creativity as you venture your way through baking, bread making, meal preparation and menu design.
Culinary Explosion! (Marple)
Explore the science and art of cooking. Students will practice culinary skills preparing fun one-pot entrees and baking a variety of breads, biscuits, cakes and pastries. Note: This camp is held at the Marple Education Center in Broomall.
Future Teachers (Folcroft)
Discover how children grow and learn. Design activities, crafts and games that explore a variety of topics. Learn classroom safety and First Aid. Field trips will introduce students to educators in a variety of settings from gardens to museums.
I.T. Adventures (Folcroft)
Don’t miss this exciting adventure in the world of information technology. Explore computer networking and the inner components, including assembling and dissembling personal computers, setting up networks and telecommunication concepts.
Jr. Emergency Rescuers (Folcroft)
Experience basic training in emergency response and fire prevention skills. Fast-paced simulations set the stage for students to practice communications, rescue operations, First Aid and CPR. Wild About Wood! (Folcroft)
Learn carpentry skills through hands-on nature and conservation projects. Learn operations and safety of hand and power tools. Students will build their own bird house and explore hands-on woodworking techniques and building projects.
