Introduction
There are different test-socket adapters for the Form 5 and Form 9 SEL-734 and SEL-735 meters. The kit numbers needed for ordering are listed below.

Installation
Standard Form 5 and Form 9 Meters
Connect an SEL-735 (or SEL-734) meter to your Form 5 or Form 9 test set using one of the adapters listed below. The adapter is purposed for testing only and should only be used indoors.

Please use the following steps to connect the socket adapter to the SEL-735 or SEL-734 meter and test set. Step 1. Ensure the circuit is safe.
Step 2. Connect the current ring terminals from the socket adapter to the Slot Z, Terminals Z01–Z06 on the back of the SEL-734 or SEL-735 meter.
Step 3. Tighten the connections.
Step 4. Plug the voltage connector from the socket adapter into the SEL-735 Slot Z, Terminals Z07–Z10 (or SEL-734 Slot E, Terminals E01–E04).
Step 5. Tighten the connector.
Step 6. Plug the socket adapter into the test set Form 5 or Form 9 socket. Step 7. Ensure all connections are mechanically and electrically sound. Step 8. Energize the test set and the SEL meter.
SEL-735 EXM
Connect an SEL-735 EXM meter to your Form 5 or Form 9 test set using one of the following socket adapters. The socket adapter is purposed for testing only and should only be used indoors.

Please use the following steps to install the socket adapter to the SEL-735 meter and test set. Step 1. Ensure the circuit is safe.
Step 2. Plug the self-shorting CT connector from the socket adapter into the CT connector connected to the SEL-735. Step 3. Tighten the connector.
Step 4. Plug the barrel connector from the socket adapter into the barrel connector connected to the SEL-735. Step 5. Tighten the connector.
Step 6. Plug the socket adapter into the test set Form 5 or Form 9 socket. Step 7. Ensure all connections are mechanically and electrically sound. Step 8. Energize the test set and SEL-735.
Figure 1 shows the Form 5 standard and EXM socket adapters. Form 9 socket adapters 915900259 and 915900257 are similar to adapters 915900258 and 915900256, but have a Form 9 configuration. Please refer to Specification on page 3 for the actual wiring configuration of your socket adapter.
