Senior Class
Final Farewell
In 1996 the world was thrilled by the Nintendo 64, and shocked by the world’s fi rst cloned animal: Dolly the sheep. But they were not nearly as enthralled by these things as the group of 23 students that made their very fi rst, and very tiny footsteps into their kindergarten classes that year was with their new adventure. Starting from day one, these students became one of the most close–knit groups of students to ever pass through Bancroft-Rosalie. They’ve worked hard and have made millions of memories and shared tons of laughs along the way. From dancing the night away, to cheering on classmates at all the games, and working late shifts at the concession stands, it’s no wonder these 13 years spent together have gone by so fast. Now all that’s left is graduation. On May 15th, 2009, they will fi nd themselves waving goodbye to
Bancroft-Rosalie and embracing the many years they have to come as they spread their wings and take on the world as col-lege-bound adults.
Many tears will be shed as they go their separate ways, and say goodbye to their classmates, families, and this great school that they have known and loved for so many years.
Com-mencement exercises will begin at 6:30 in the Bancroft Gym. Class colors are light blue and navy blue, class fl ower is a rainbow rose, class motto is “We’ll fi nd a way, or we’ll make one!” And their class song is by their very own, Elley Smith, entitled “Turn Back Time.” Shelby Beaudette will give this year’s valedictorian speech and Derek Muller will give the salutatorian speech.
For one last chance to make memories together, the seniors took a sneak trip to Kansas City on May 8, and returned May 9th. They stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge and spent the whole
day Saturday experiencing the thrills of Worlds of Fun. The Baccalaureate ceremony was held on May 11th, at 7 p.m.
For the class of 2009-- may you always remember the good times you shared with friends, faculty, and fellow class-mates. As you carry on with the remainder of your lives, may you never forget your time at B-R, or everyone who helped make you who you are now. Good luck with the rest of your lives, and hopefully you fi nd everything that you are looking for. As you step into your new lives, remember this quote: “The future lies before you like a fi eld of driven snow, be careful how you tread it, for every step will show.”
