This booklet details a number of agencies that

provide home care or support to vulnerable people

in their own homes or in the community. Agency

staff may be able to assist with meals, washing,

dressing, checking someone is safe or taking a

person out.

The agencies in this booklet have either been vetted by Trafford Council or are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The CQC registers, inspects and reports on Private Support and Care . You can obtain inspection reports on any of these organisations from the CQC website:

If you do not have access to the Internet, the Centre can obtain a copy for you. Contact us on 0161 848 2400.

Home care prices range from around £7-£15 per hour, and charges are usually higher overnight, at weekends, and on bank holidays. Some agencies also offer a half hour ‘pop-in’ rate which can be cheaper.

The following agencies do all aspects of personal and domestic care. This includes sitting services, taking someone out, and bathing:
