PRESENTAZIONE
E.QU.A. is a society that has as social subject the performance of technical services as well as activities performed as Inspection Body of Type A, II and III party in-spections, expediting, supervision of tests and Pre-Shipment inspections specialized in the Oil&Gas and Power; planning and supply of welding qualifications and procedures, according to international codes and standards.
Throughout the years, the various experiences matured and the high level of know-how and professionalism acquired have made it possible for E.QU.A. to coordinate and integrate the expert knowledge of their qualified tech-nicians in a modern structure at the maximum level possible. The flexibility of the internal organisation has also made it possible to adapt its structure in order to satisfy the needs of their Clients, whether they be industrial groups or of a much smaller entity, guar-anteeing high quality services.
E.QU.A.’s vision is that Quality is created by people, technology is only a tool for easing the process and not a substitute for humans. In addition, as we have al-ready said, Quality is made by “ALL THE PEOPLE”, whatever their role may be within the company. Given that working with Quality is basically
E.QU.A. is an organization certified according to UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 standards.
E.QU.A. has obtained the Ethical Certification SA8000.
The certification guarantees transparent relationships between Company, workers and syndicates, controls the suppliers’ ethicality,
im-proves the relationships between the institutions and, in complex, becomes an additional instru-ment to win contracts. SA8000 is a voluntary standard recognized internationally, where the purpose is to measure through a verification, executed by a Certifying organization (CSQ in our case), the level of ethicality and social responsi-bility of a company.
Through SA8000 certification, the company demonstrates its commitment to accomplish procedures and politics that guarantee not prej-udicial behaviours of personal dignities to all the Stakeholders of reference (the employees, the Society, the institutions, the Suppliers, Chamber of Commerce, Industrial Association).
E.QU.A. is accredited as body for the Inspection of Type A according to the requirements of the standard UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17020 ed. 2012 in the following sectors:
a) Industrial Products (according to the customer specification):
- Manufacturing, control and witness test of products industrial part and welded structures;
- Heat exchangers, boilers and pressure vessels new and functioning; - Fusion streams;
- Rotating equipment new and functioning; - Valves;
- Metallic and non metallic materials.
b) Industrial Processes (according to the customer specification):
- Welding processes; - Non destructive tests.
E.QU.A. has become a member in good standing of IFIA (International Federation of In-spection Agencies), necessary to undertake Pre-Shipment Inspection activities.
THE MAIN GUIDELINES
1) Expediting Inspection and Testing services.

3) Evaluation of Technical Pamphlets and assistance to the Certification togeth-er with Notified Bodies, for norms and decrees as:
3.1 Italian Lgs.D. 329 dated 01/12/2004: Regulations of the norms for the installation and use of pressure equipments of Art.19 of Italian Lgs.D. n.93 dated 25/02/2000;
3.2 Italian Lgs.D. 233/03 dated 12/06/2003: Accomplishment of the Directive 199/92/CE relative to the minimum prescriptions for the improvement of the Safety and Health safeguard of the workers exposed to the risk of explosive environments;
3.3 Directive 97/23/CE – Italian Lgs.D. 93 dated 23/02/2000: Accomplish-ment of Directive 97/23/CE in matter of pressure equipAccomplish-ments;
3.4 Directive CPD 89/106/CEE: Certification of construction products.
4) Welder qualifications and welding procedures according to national and in-ternational codes and standards.
A BRIEF ANALYSIS OF THE ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT
1) II and III party Expediting, Inspection and Testing
Expediting, Inspection and Testing services are surely the most delicate activities carried out by E.QU.A.
Expediting, Inspection and Testing services are a strategic phase for the achievement of a good outcome for the fulfillment of any project.
The Inspection/Testing activities are evaluations performed at the suppliers’ sites, on ma-terials, products, machinery, plants or other components with the aim to assure the con-formity against the requirements of the project on the base of the contractual specifica-tions and the international standards of reference.
Desk/Field Expediting activities are evaluations made at suppliers sites to confirm the materials contractual delivery dates.
2) Management of 97/23 EC “PED” Directives – DM 329/04
Surveillance during the construction and final tests of equipment, implants and skids.
3) Welder qualifications and welding procedures
Welding (special process that allows to permanently combine solid parts, creating a con-tinuity in the material) and braising (special process where two or more materials are joined by the use of a third dissimilar material) are two special processes that need quali-fied personnel according to standards defined by the Customer as UNI, ASME, AWS or other codes.
E.QU.A. can provide the following qualifications services:
WPQR/PQR: Welding Procedure Qualification Record;
WPQ: Welder Performance Qualification.
Guaranteeing the punctual respect of the qualitative standards requested by the certifica-tion standards of the Quality System, is an obligacertifica-tion of every Company that provides welding and braising processes.
Even in this sector E.QU.A. offers to all Companies a qualified and punctual assistance thanks to a certified professionalism: International Welding Engineers and International Welding Technologists.
Our personnel is qualified and recognized as welding and CND specialists, according to the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17020 standard.
