2013 International Six Days Enduro ISDE

, which will take place in the beautiful

scenery of the land of

Gallura

. Here the winding dirt paths, described by the

ancient mule tracks up the

hills inland

of the

Costa Smeralda

, will become

chal-lenging courses for the enduro champions and will be the frame of a celebration

of Six Days Enduro Isde 2013, one of the most challenging occasions for

motorcy-cle teams from all around the world.

SARDINIA

Sardinia, an island in the heart of the western Mediterranean Sea, is known

worldwide for its crystal clear waters and the particular natural landscape.

The region has maintained its original characteristics making it a real natural and

cultural heritage: thanks to mild climate, a sea of colors, shifting to the mountains

with flora and fauna enriched by peculiar species of the region, Sardinia is a

unique setting for the 2013 International Six Days Enduro ISDE.

OLBIA

Olbia, the happy city, as it was called by the Greeks, the provincial capital along

with Tempio, is famous for its proximity to the Costa Smeralda and presents itself

as a modern city full of life.

Full of renowned tourist locations, among which Porto Cervo, Porto Rotondo and

Portisco, Olbia has many facilities and cultural attractions that make it one of the

most important cities of Sardinia.

OLBIA COSTA SMERALDA AIRPORT

Olbia-Costa Smeralda Airport is located just 1 km from Olbia City Center

, 20 km

from all renowned tourist locations of "Costa Smeralda", such as Palau, Porto

Cervo, Santa Teresa di Gallura, Cannigione and Golfo Aranci. The Airport is also

less than 40 km from some of the most important villages of North Sardinia, as

far as cultural and archeological heritage is concerned. All these tourist

attrac-tions are very easy to reach from the airport.

Olbia City is located in one of the most astonishing areas of Sardinia, also known

as Costa Smeralda (Emerald Coast), with wonderful coastline and beaches easy to

access even for those who have limited budget for holidays. The area offers many

chances to practice sports and various activities.

Ciaosardinia is the Destination Management System of Olbia Costa Smeralda

Airport

, that thanks to a successful agreement with the Italian Motorcycle

Federation, will assist pilots, fan club in search of the most suitable Motorcycle

accommodation from a list of selected hotels specifically for the event. In addition

to accommodation Ciaosardinia has signed agreements with airlines and shipping

of Golfo Aranci and Cagliari.

The space for groups of 4 people in a private car is very limited. For

this reason the luggage should be small-sized.

The service is provided only from the airports by car, minibus or

coach with air conditioning depending on the number of people,

from 08.00 to 20.00.The rates are per person per way, minimum

2 people paying the full rate.

from Cagliari, children 0/7 years free - 7/12 years 10% discount;

from Alghero, children 0/12 years free.

Stops along the way with a wait departing between 60 and 90

minutes are possible, in order to meet the needs of the

arriving/departing customers having different flights in the same

time slot.

Pets are not allowed in public services, on request in private car

and minibus, on payment for transfers from Cagliari.

MARINE PROTECTED AREAS

Asinara

The Asinara Island is one of the most spectacular little

islands close to Sardinia. It has a long history as a penal

colony, it has been a national park since 1997. On its eastern

side there are a lot of beaches and bays, like those of red

granite, the Scombro and Sant’Andrea bays.

Capo Caccia

The area of Punta di Giglio and Capo Caccia is an underwater

cave paradise.The Grotta di Nettuno is rich of stalactites and

stalagmites. The Nereo underwater cave is famous for its

red coral which is visible at just 5 to 6 metres beneath sea

level.

Emerald waters and metaphysical landscape: these are the

main characteristics of the protected marine area that runs

from the extreme promontory point in the south-east of

Sardinia and which takes its name from the Capo Carbonara

promontory.

Tavolara - Capo Coda Cavallo

The marine area in the north east of Sardinia goes from

Capo Ceraso to Capo Coda Cavallo. Species of rare beauty

can be found here such as Erodium coricum, a variety of

geranium, and Asperula deficiens, which only grows on

this island.

Sinis Peninsula

This marine area comprises the Sinis Peninsula, the Island

of Mal di Ventre and the Catalan cliff. It is a spectacular

natural oasis, above all for the abundance of eroded rocks

and stones modelled by the passing of waves, as

S’Archittu, a spectacular rocky archway.

BEACHES

Cala Brandinchi is situated between Punta Sabbatino and Capo Coda

Cavallo, along the road Olbia-San Teodoro. It is a gorgeous beach,

characterized by very fine sand and clear depths. Thanks to its beauty

this beach is also called “Tahiti”. On the 17th of October 1867

Giusep-pe Garibaldi, after escaping from Caprera, sailed from Cala

Brandin-chi to Piombino and try to liberate Rome.

Cala Brandinchi Beach (19km from Olbia)

Capriccioli is situated 8 km east from Cala di Volpe, in the middle of

Costa Smeralda. The beauty of this beach, which can be easily

reached and has a large parking space, makes it one of the families'

favourite destinations, with a clear prevalence of foreign tourists,

especially German. It is well-sheltered from the wind, one of the

reasons why is favoured by families with children.

Capriccioli Beach (26 Km from Olbia)

Pevero Beach is located in the famous and beautiful Costa Smeralda

only 3km from Porto Cervo. Pevero's sandy shore is fine and white,

lapped by emerald coloured waters. Its low depths make it ideal for

families with children. It is also quite sought-after by celebrities from

around the world and the inevitable paparazzi.

Piccolo and Grande Pevero Beach (33 Km from Olbia)

The island of La Maddalena can be reached via ferryboat from the port

of Palau. It is the biggest island in the Archipelago, placed in the

north-eastern coast of Sardinia. Its coasts are full of bays and

enchanting small beaches. One of Sardinia's most beautiful scenic

roads (about 20km) crosses the whole island and allows you to reach

the most beautiful beaches.

Beaches La Maddalena Archipelago (40km from Olbia to Palau)

This cruise will take you to the most beautiful islands of the Archipelago of La Maddalena, characterized by an enchanting sea and fabulous landscapes. The first stop is at the Island of Spargi, with a visit to Cala Corsara. After a swim, the cruise will continue towards the islands of Budelli, Razzoli and Santa Maria. The next stop will be at Cala Santa Maria. The cruise goes on along the coasts of La Maddalena and Santo Stefano.

Cruise through the Archipelago

The mini cruise is a full day excursion which gives the passengers the possibility to admire and take pictures of all the beaches, caves and the most fascinating corners of the coast until Cala Goloritzè. Three stops on the most famous and beautiful beaches of the gulf: Cala Luna, Cala Mariolu and Cala Biriola. It is also possible to enrich the excursion choosing the visit at the Bue Marino cave which is really recommen-ded for those who plan a one day excursion in Cala Gonone.

Minicruise on the Orosei Gulf (NU)

Starting from Dorgali the sight can be reached first by Land Rover and then on foot. The road winds trough the Lanaitto valley to the base of the mountain. From there you go on foot to a very interesting path with beautiful views of the surroun-ding mountains and the valley below. After a walk of about 1h 30min you reach the hidden village. Once inside you will enjoy the wonderful view of a beautiful masonry huts village. The nuraghes agglomeration was so wide that it was divided into two different districts. (Lunch box included).
