ASSESSMENT AND

RESOURCE CENTERS

(45)

Assessments and Resources

CRC’s Assessment and Resource Centers (ARC) are designed to increase access to substance abuse and eating disorder treatment services.

Working in collaboration with local hospitals, employee assistance programs, healthcare providers and other interested organizations, the ARC will meet two significant needs within each community:

• Identifying individuals who are in need of treatment services.

• Connecting these individuals with the level and type of care that is best suited to meet their unique needs.

After conducting free assessments for substance abuse disorders and eating disorders, ARC personnel work with clients to identify the most appropriate and accessible type of treatment.

The majority of the assessments will be conducted in an ARC office. However, as the need presents itself, mobile assessment services may also be provided – for example, to ensure the smoothest possible transition from an emergency room into a substance abuse treatment program.

If a client is appropriate for a CRC program, the ARC will make that referral. However, not every ARC referral will involve CRC. For this reason, the ARC will also be partnering with providers to ensure that all assessed clients can be referred to the treatment program that is best for them.
