Welcome to the Conference Sponsorship and Exhibition Guide for the 19th Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia Conference.

In 2013 we are thrilled to be back in the beautiful city of Melbourne and returning to Crown.

Our Conference will be held in the Crown Conference Centre for the first time so we are very excited about what these world class facilities have to offer and the new look that it will provide for our Conference. We were well looked after by the Crown Team in 2009 so we look forward to returning for an even bigger event in 2013.

This year’s theme is “It’s the Perfect Deal” and we believe that this guide certainly deals out many wonderful opportunities and a variety of exposure levels for you to promote your Company to the Veterinary Nurses at the Conference.

The VNCA Conference is the biggest veterinary nursing gathering in Australia and we invite and welcome you to be part of it. The VNCA are very excited to welcome Leslie Carter from the USA

who is our international speaker for 2013. She is internationally recognised and a highly regarded speaker in emergency and critical care. Along with the excellent local speakers, we know that the delegates will be very excited about what the 2013 Programme has to offer.

We are pleased to announce that the Gala Dinner returns to the middle night of the Conference in 2013. It will be held in the lively, contemporary and vibrant Studio 3 in the Crown Entertainment Complex. It’s a great night to network with delegates, work colleagues and a chance to invite your local clients along to reward them for their business throughout the year. Crown certainly do their dinners in style and we look forward to them spoiling us again. It’s an event not to be missed.

Exhibition Sites

Veterinary Nurses always thoroughly enjoy and support the Commercial Exhibition. The Exhibition is the networking hub for delegates and company representatives. Refreshments, lunches, Welcome Drinks and Wednesday Night Happy Hour are served here.

The eagerness of the inquiring delegates for information and knowledge is exceptional and the many companies that promote their products and materials through this medium continue to be delighted with the response.

Each exhibition site is approx. 3m x 2m. Included in your site fee is: • Face-to-face interaction with approximately 500 vet nurse delegates • 3m x 2m rectangular space (without booth)

• A trestle table & two chairs • A CD of the Conference Proceedings

• Acknowledgement of your support on the VNCA Website and in the Conference Proceedings.

• Welcome Drinks in the Exhibition – A great way to start the Conference, for all delegates who register early on Tuesday night, they will have the opportunity to have a “sneak preview” of the Exhibition and visit your trade stands. A perfect time for company representatives to interact and network with delegates when they first arrive.

• Commercial Exhibition “Happy Hour” – A great opportunity for delegates mix and mingle at the end of the first day. Gather in the “Networking Hub” /Commercial Exhibition area to share a drink with colleagues and network with company representatives. Happy Hour will take place on Wednesday 17 April, 5-6pm. During this Happy Hour, the MC will announce the prizewinners of companies’ raffles and competitions for the day, provide information on activities for the coming days and acknowledge your company’s support of these networking events.

Please note – maximum number of sites per company is three.

This year’s conference theme is “It’s the Perfect Deal” and the coveted Conference Commercial Exhibition Trophy will go to the company whose exhibit best reflects the theme.

In 2012 we introduced the new “Delegate’s Choice” Trophy. This will again be voted on by the delegates throughout the Conference. We are sure the delegates will be looking for innovation, interaction, wow factor, imparting knowledge, friendliness and personal presence at your stand.

Room One is the primary lecture room to sponsor at the Conference in 2013. Features of sponsoring Room One are

· International Speaker from the USA, Leslie Carter will feature primarily in Room One · The Opening Ceremony & VNCA Annual General Meeting will be held in this Room

World Class speaker from the USA

Leslie Carter will be presenting the majority of her lectures in Room One throughout the Conference. Leslie is an internationally recognised and highly regarded speaker in emergency and critical care.

Highlights of Leslie’s career is that she

· Has supervised the ICUs at Colorado State University and University of Pennsylvania

· Was awarded the prestigious Jack Mara Memorial Lecture Award and North American Veterinary Conference Technician Speaker of the Year Award in 2010.

· Is a Charter Member, Past President, and Regent of the Academy of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Technicians (AVECCT), and created the AVECCT certifying examination.

· Served as Technician Scientific Program Coordinator for the International Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Symposium (IVECCS) for the last 7 years.

· Has recently developed an Urgent Care Service at CSU.

Along with Leslie Carter, there will be a host of well known local speakers, covering a variety of medical, clinical, surgical, behaviour and communication topics.
