"Julio Humberto Grondona" Argentine Football Conference.
In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the founding of
the Argentine Football Coaches Association (Asociación de Técnicos del Fútbol Argentino),
we are pleased to announce the inaugural “Julio Humberto Grondona” Argentine Football
Conference, which will be presided by Honorary President, Mr. Daniel Alberto Passarella,
current President of Club Atlético River Plate. The Conference will take place on November
25 and 26, 2013 at the Club Atletico River Plate Complex and will conclude on November 27
at the AFA National Teams Center in Ezeiza, Buenos Aires. Presentations and clinics will be
presented by prestigious Head Coaches and Managers from Argentina such as Alejandro
Sabella, César Luis Menotti, Miguel Ángel Russo, Enrique Borrelli, Gustavo Alfaro, José
Pekerman, Jorge Griffa, Jorge Solari, Adrián Domenech, Carlos Salvador Bilardo, Humberto
Grondona, Gabriel Milito, Matias Almeyda and others.
All clinics will include the participation of Academy youth
players from River Plate, Independiente and Renato Cesarini, along with their respective
head coaches and youth players from the AFA Youth National Teams.
The Conference will focus on the pathway and development for
youth football players, commencing at the ages 5 and 6 through to their professional years.
Training methodologies for youth players, including middle school, high school, and college
age groups, as well as for professional players will be presented. In addition, topics related to
the different roles of coaching staff will be explored, such as Goalkeeper Training, Striker
Training, and the role of technology as applied to football today.
Participants will receive a Certificate of Participation and
educational materials. There will be raffles for the chance to win jerseys of the Argentine
National Team signed by all the clinicians at the Conference.
