WHERE AND HOW TO SHARE

 Apple menu [click]

 System preferences [click]  Internet & network

 Sharing [click]

 You will see all sharing options in this centralized place

 Click on sharing

 Give a name to your computer [Computer Name]

 Display name [on the first screen – not a network name] – but change

the default otherwise expect conflict

 click on edit ->give local hostname [name used by the network]  Hostname
