Meet the New Belfast
We’ve hosted world leaders at the G8 summit, threw the biggest ever party for the MTV European Music Awards and this year we will play host to the prestigious Giro d’Italia cycling race. We are not number one in the world – yet. But we are number one in the UK! Belfast was recently awarded the Best Conference and Incentive City destination in the UK by Conference and Incentive Travel (C&IT) Magazine.
Unique and Different
Belfast is the undiscovered part of Ireland – and a UK capital city at the same time. We are proud to be different and that’s what makes our city a perfect choice for events.
From dinners in a Victorian Prison, to drinks with a Lord and Lady in a Mansion or Wake Boarding on the Slipways where the most famous ship in the world was built, Belfast offers a truly authentic and memorable experience for your colleagues or delegates. When the hard work is done, social programmes can include whiskey tasting, cookery schools, comedy performances, art exhibitions, Titanic-themed evenings and some of the best golf courses in the world. It’s time to Visit Belfast.
VIP Experience
Belfast loves when a conference is in town – because it really matters to the city that you are here. From branded welcome banners for your conference, to a civic reception with the Lord Mayor, we will go the extra mile when your conference is in town. Cabin crew to taxi drivers, hotel managers, venue staff and restaurateurs will all be briefed on your event and ready with their best Belfast welcome when you’re delegates arrive. Belfast is home to some of the friendliest and happiest people you’re likely to meet. In fact, Instagram recently revealed Belfast is the happiest city in the UK!

Easy Access
Belfast is just two flights from anywhere in the world and it’s easier and cheaper than you think to get here. You can get to Belfast from over 150 UK and international destinations – flying direct to one of our two airports, or via Dublin which is just 90 minutes away. We have over 30 direct European flight routes and direct links to North America with United Airlines. You can also connect to Belfast from London, which has over 35 flights to the city each day with flight times of just one hour. Once you arrive in Belfast, you will be in the city within minutes and flight fares are comparable and often cheaper than rail travel. Once you arrive in Belfast, all venues, hotels and attractions are within walking distance and you will be right in the heart of the action.
Affordability
As an exciting new destination, your budget goes further in Belfast. Not only can you deliver a bigger and better event within the same budget, your delegates’ budget goes further too. Belfast consistently ranks amongst the Best Value cities in the UK according to TripAdvisor.
Inspiring Place –
Leading Business
A city of Titanic ambition, Belfast regularly outperforms cities double its size in terms of innovation, invention, technology and investment. We are leading in ICT, Creative industries, Renewable energy, Engineering, Agri-food, Business Services, Aerospace and Medicine. We have a young, highly educated workforce which has made us home to over 800 global companies including the New York Stock Exchange, Citi Group, Caterpillar, Bombardier, Capita, Allstate, Liberty, Microsoft, Seagate and DuPont. We are also home to two world-leading Universities, Queens University Belfast and the University of Ulster. Global brands sit alongside home-grown companies and inspiring start-ups that export across the world. One in four London Buses are made here by a locally-owned engineering company and Northern Ireland manufactures a third of the world’s business class seats. So, it makes business sense to meet in Belfast.
It’s Time to Visit Belfast.
