MEETING

InterAsmA Global Asthma Association

(2)

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Interasma is an international health organization completely focused on all aspects of asthma, bridging the gap between academia and the world of clinical practice. It is also a forum for interdisciplinary discussions where pneumologists, allergologists, pediatricians, and general practitioners have the opportunity to discuss and exchange information between these specialties on asthma research, practice and management. In this regard the Association supports a broad range of cooperative endeavors. The Interasma Mission Statement is devoted to encouraging asthma education programs for physicians all around the world, as well as for other health professionals, educators and administrators. Interasma is engaged in the international crusade to improve the quality of life of asthmatics and to decrease the prevalence, morbidity and mortality of asthma. The same program wants to be an integral part of the projects and purposes of the “Interasma Italian Chapter”.

The International Interasma President & The President of Interasma Italian Chapter cordially invites you to its 2014 First Annual Congress, which takes place in Brescia.

The Organising Committee, which includes representative members from major academic centres in Italy, has established an exciting programme about asthma. The aims are not only to provide delegates with a comprehensive and broad update on basic and clinical research in our field, but also to critically evaluate established scientific dogmas in order to foster sound and vivid scientific discussions on the paradigms on which we should base our future asthma diagnosis, treatment and prevention strategies. It is with great pleasure that the city of Brescia welcomes the speakers and all the participants to this important congress. This town is uniquely posed to host this event, if you take into consideration the excellence reached by its university and hospital centres. In the heart of the city, there is a precious jewel, the Santa Giulia convent, an important cultural centre for the Langobards, recently recognized as a UNESCO World heritage site. We hope Brescia will able to charm and welcome you, and we are sure it thanks you for the important scientific contribution you are bringing to its medical community.
