(7)  . .   .   . Vehicle: Any machine that is self propelled, designed to be pulled on the roadway by another vehicle or has an internal combustion engine. Light vehicles: Any production motor vehicle that is not highly specialized in design and use and is not subject to Federal Excise Tax. (Cars, Pickup Trucks, 1 and 2 ton trucks, etc.). Heavy Vehicles: Any vehicle that is subject to Federal Excise Tax at the time of purchase. (Trucks & Tractors with a GVW greater than 33,000 lbs. or equipped with three or more axles.). Specialized Vehicles: Any vehicle that is designed and equipped for a single purpose. (Ambulances, Fire Engines, Utility Trucks, etc.). Pool Vehicle: A light vehicle not assigned to a specific person or department and available to any employee. Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT): Self propelled equipment intended to handle and transport tools, material, and product and is not intended for highway use. (Forklifts, Tugs, etc.). Forklift: A PIT equipped with protruding tines or forks intended for handling palletized loads. Specialty Trailers: Customer trailer built for specific application generally owner is Government. 6 SLS Transporters: Custom built units used to move SLS segments.. Definitions.
