As of January 2013, all Washington businesses and governments are required to recycle fluorescent, compact fluores-cent (CFL) and high intensity discharge (HID) lights, and other sources of mercury (ballasts, thermostats, etc).
FOR FEWER THAN TEN LIGHTS
Take up to ten fluorescent lights (for free) to most Home Depot or Lowe’s stores, PUD offices, County drop box or transfer station, or Bartell Drugs store. Call first. Not all store locations accept these lights and some accept only certain types of fluorescents.
