loAd And performAnce tests
We test your applications and systems under realistic loads and check their efficiency and stability as early on as possible.
We work with you to initially determine the critical application workflows, calculate the expected quantity structures and agree the objectives of the load and performance test. We document all this in a precisely targeted test concept.
Our tests measure the response times for every single user action in test series featuring a wide range of load scenarios. We distinguish between: Dynamic tests: loads can be adjusted dynamically at runtime to support
targeted performance analyses.
Scaling tests: used to determine the maximum load a system can process.
Permanent load tests: these allow the detection of long-term effects; are your applications stable in operation?
Stress tests: how does your application respond to load peaks? Depending on the test objective, we will provide you with a comprehen-sive test report that tells you everything you need to know about the performance of your system. For example, we evaluate response times using threshold analysis: how many transactions are completed within specified time limits? We also show how many transactions your system is able to process and at what point loads begin to cause errors. We also perform tests during the development phase, e.g. in agile projects, or load tests to support problem analyses. In these cases we deliver automated brief reports on each iteration.

Despite careful preparation and testing, technical problems may still arise: performance issues of unknown origin, from sporadic errors all the way to system outages. In productive operation, fast, targeted solutions are needed.
We offer various measures in the field of performance engineering to both quickly rationalise and solve problems in acute situations and perform preventative analyses. The purpose of all such measures is to identify the issue as quickly as possible, and to specifically optimise and improve. Our experts participate in task forces ad hoc, working either onsite with your team or remotely.

Other types of analysis:
Client analysis: we help you optimise the execution of your application on the client side. Modern web applications in particular are executed largely in the browser. With the help of appropriate tools, we help you find any weak points quickly.
Database analysis: our experts comprehensively examine your databa-ses in order to identify relevant optimisations. The resulting recommen-dations range from e.g. adding indexes through altering table structures to administrative adjustments.
Network analysis: we conduct data traffic measurements in LANs and WANs to detect problems in these application layers.

Our business process monitoring allows you to map and monitor every step in your IT system. For example, you may find the proactive execution of selected business processes, such as an ordering function with login, catalogue pages, shopping basket and order, according to a defined schedule by means of automated test users helpful. In the event of an alert, the help desk notifies you by e-mail or text message – allowing you to respond in a targeted manner and protect yourself against revenue losses. Any time divergences occur in the logic of the usual business processes, the causes are identified and the corresponding information forwarded to the responsible members of staff, transforming individual data into valuable management information.
