2020 is the year of MOBI: A new bikesharing system, an easily acessable

carsharing tariff product and a multimodal app has been implemented.

Sharing is a niche product, even with very good ppp concept.

The usage of cars in Dresden decreases, but the number of cars and the quota of

households with private car increases (no corona effect yet). What can stop this?

The planned upscaling of carsharing (more than 2.100 parking spaces until 2030) is

not enough to lower the number of private cars significantly compared to now.

necessary. What does that mean for the idea of green mobility?

The change to a „Green Deal“ is still at its beginning. We still

have a long and difficult road to walk to achieve this.



SUMP 2025+ led to implementing MOBI as part of public transport.

Mobility hubs, integrated Apps, carsharing and bikesharing are

very sucessfull but still in a niche.



And so a long and difficult road must be walked until we reach a

„Green Deal“ with a healthy city and 100% sustainable mobility.



To offer sustainable services seems to be not enough. We also

need disruptive push-measures. But how to implement this within:



democratic processes



partizipation and subsidiarity



freedom of choice of transport



within the consense by the citizens
