our
donor

a
new
Development
Director
hierarchy
has
been
created.
The
new
Development
Director
hierarchy
will
replace
the
current
Finance
and
Endowment
positions
with
a
clear
career
path
and
grade
structure
beginning
with
an
Associate
Development
Director
grade
5,
up
to
Director
of
Development
grade
1.
Those
currently
in
Finance
Director,
Sr.
Finance
Director,
Director
of
Finance
Services
grades
1
or
2,
and
Endowment
Director
grade
2
or
3,
will
be
moved
laterally
into
the
Development
hierarchy
effective
January
1,
2011.
There
are
two
key
differences
in
the
new
Development
Director
hierarchy.
First,
this
change
allows
for
a
beginning
grade
5
for
those
who
want
to
specialize
in
fundraising
and
development
during
their
career
in
Scouting.
Second,
the
Development
Director
hierarchy
accommodates
both
commissioned
professionals
and
non
‐
commissioned
professionals
with
an
alternate
career
path.
Non
‐
commissioned
professionals
are
required
to
be
a
registered
member
of
the
Boy
Scouts
of
America
and
adhere
to
the
values
and
standards
of
Scouting.

Professionals
–
No
action
Commissioned
employees
currently
in
the
Finance
or
Endowment
job
codes
will
be
moved
laterally
(no
grade
change)
effective

the

council
systems.
Lateral
moves
do
not
affect
salary.
Affected
employees,

with
their
Scout
Executive,
will
receive
an

on

before

15,
2010
regarding
